Does this game (for the PC) have unlimited save slots
...or is like every console port, with only game-programmed checkpoints?

...one of the great things about Witcher 3 for the PC: unlimited saves. So it's NOT impossible to program into a game for those of us with adult responsibilities who can't spend 5 hours at a time in a game. Anyway, this game looks fantastic but I can't commit to it if I can't save at will.

Dishonored 2 provides save slots for 3 separate campaigns. You can actually have 3 different games saved at the same time.

The game allows saving up to about 18 manual save slots (as best as I can tell) for each of the 3 campaigns, in addition to 1 quicksave, 2 autosaves, and up to 9 "Mission" saves made by the game itself, for each.

So, you could have one game as Corvo, low chaos; a second game as Emily, low chaos; and a third game as Corvo, high chaos, all with their own save slots.

You'll find you don't NEED "infinite" saves.

cyberwiz97: thank you for a clear, consice answer. Much appreciated, unlike the reply from an anonymous keyboard warrior on another thread who seemed to jump out of his pants with apoplexy to respond with vitriol. but you know: kids these days :-)
Again,thanks.

Loving this game; glad I purchased it. And for anyone else who wants to know: the F5 quicksave and the 20 or so other save slots are plenty (for those of us who like saving often)
