Which are the best horses to buy in this game?

So I have enough money to buy a horse so I was wondering which ones are worth getting(I know you can only own one at a time)?

And also one important question. If I say buy a horse and then later down the line decide I want another horse so I buy a new horse, can I rebuy the old horse that I traded off or is that horse forever not available?

the best looking and stat wise is shadowmere but you need the from the ashes dlc and to build the stables
in vanilla its warhorse jenda in merhojed

dont really know as i only buy horses that are better

What about Pegasus? Perhaps not the best horse, but I think its the fastest non DLC horse if I am not mistaken.

The best horse kind of depends on your play style. If you are a hoarder, You want one with high carry capacity. If you want to chase everyone down, you want speed and stamina. if you want a warhorse, you want high courage.

Different tack can improve many stats as well, so make sure to save up and invest in that too. I bought Bucephalus from Neuhof because of the all round stats and price and got the best tack i could and am very happy with my choice.

There are stats on the horses if you google kcd horses and that may help you decide.

The "best horse" doesn't matter too much - i always go for higher courage first, and the figure out which one i can tolerate.

COurage is what helps to keep you in the saddle - but i try not to fight from the horse since it is all sorts of janky, and ur horse will be targeted.

other than that, i generally don;t like a White horse for Henry - he's a bit more of a "off-road, 4x4" type person than some white chevy tahoe.

thus, i almost always buy my horse from Uzhitz stables

Edit: and yes, Shadowmere is a great horse, but very end-game

Shadowmere has the best overall stats, but Jenda is available much earlier usually. I always go with Jenda. I tried to invest in Epona earlier before getting Jenda on one playthrough but it wasn't worth it; I wished I just saved money for Jenda instead and used Pebbles until then.

It depends on your preference. I prefer courage and carry weight over speed and stamina so I tend to go for Bucephalus or the Warhorse Jenda.

Will check the link, thanks. As for rebuying horses I found a single page on the internet where someone said that it is indeed possible to rebuy horses as much as you want but it was only one source where someone said that, so I'm not sure.

I am currently running with Sleipnir (from the Uzhits stables). It's a good horse, but there are better. Sadly, apart from Shadowmere, which I won't be getting on account of I wanted to build the guard station rather than the stables in Pryb, the other better horses were sold in Merhojed, which at this point no longer has horses due to them being poisoned in the main quest line.

Still, it's good enough to do the job.

they are stats wise the best
dont get why people are talking about others when the question was which one is best not the coolest looking

I always get Chollima, from Neuhof stables. they are cheap enough, and has the best stamina of all horses. They can gallop across the entire map without slowing. They are brave enough, carry enough, and fast enough to not notice any drawbacks over shadowmere. You can get her/him early game, probably after the Uzhitz and Ledetchko missions because of the bargain price.

You may want to upgrade at Pribyslavitz with Shadowmere. But that is very late game. So Chollima is a great early option.
