How to hunt seals?

I started my journey as winter came, along the north coastal regions. But I didn't manage to find a single Grey Seal. And now it's mid winter point, I feel upset. Any ideas?

i tried doing this as well and never saw one but maybe someone has and can inform the rest of us

Maybe set some traps along the coast line? Last time I made a circuit through that area I would see a seal here and there come ashore while I was fishing.

Set pits/deadfalls traps on the rocks offshore, seals occasionally come ashore, but much more commonly rest on those rocks out in the water.
