A few weeks ago I was playing on my unofficial server. I had indeed a new dated backup file every two hours. Since I was always playing alone, I stopped renting a server and, using the last TheIsland.ark file I continued my game in single player mode. No issue noticed, except that like OP I don't have dated backup files anymore.
Not a big deal since I manually backup my files, but still an odd issue.
A gui option for rollbacks.
also the abilty to promote and demote mods in your active mod list.
If they add a gui option to choose saved game to the the local/host section they could also add the ability to have multiple saves for the same map. Like if you wanted to let your kid play a game or you felt like doing a new with different rules/mods etc.
Currently both rollbacks and having multiple saves games requires manually moving and renaming files.
But seriously... it all needs to be in the main menu... with gui/game.ini as an option for those comfortable with editing them..... wich the masses arent
I look at game like skyrim with 3rd party mod managers to manage mods and saved games. Something like this built into SP would be great.
