1. how do i save in the game? 2. is there a way to change my boyfriend to a girlfriend?

I've recently finished the game and unlocked all the stickers but realised a bunch of achievements (including the sticker one). Tried restarting the game, restarting steam, nothing seams to work :/ Only one that popped was for getting a lift back down from the hive, which I did a few minutes in my save before I reloaded it. Any suggestions beyond starting a new game? :(...

Just wondering after playing the intro, why is my spider trying to save His boyfriend? Is this intentional, am i missing something? I kinda prefer to save my girlfriend if possible is there an option to pick which gender i am (and hence my love is)?
