The saving system is a joke right?

There is no save game really.

Started a story mission, got all the way to the boss, and my partner died right there. Had to restart from the beginning of the mission.

Yes the game has a saving system. A tape will pop up in the top middle of the screen when saving. Only played for an hour but after i finished the first mission the game saved. Not sure if it has checkpoints or the like though.

Checkpoints are for peasants. Real man uses F5 Quicksaves.
FPS without Quicksave = CONSOLE TRASH PORT!

Yes, they need to implement the pause option within the “solo campaign” as this is ♥♥♥♥ annoying.
The auto saves or preferably manual (like previous titles) save needs to be applied too as if you start a solo mission and stop halfway you have no option to save your progress and have to do the whole thing from scratch. - ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥!!

Sure as ♥♥♥♥ not going to play the main Brother missions without an f5 quick save or proper checkpoints again. Failed a brother mission after stealthily playing it for an hr, only to die and start at the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ start.

Played for 30min+ and had to start all over after just DIED wtf, it's a game not real life, so i don't want to waste extra time for playing a game like this (considering that playing games is already a wasted time for some)

You don't lose everything when you die, some certain items, like sliver coin crates, remain in your inventory after you respawn, also if you completed a side mission before you die, the progress will be saved.

and you can't even pause the game. this game wasn't marketed as this at all. we were told it's a game that can be played in co op but the single player experience is there. the single player experience is a joke. I will tell everyone to avoid this game.

I was think the game is paused, guess what... i DIED while was in the menu!
