Why arent putting Overgrowth on Steam Greenlight? I'd think it would have a much better chance to get greenlit! And not so many people know about Owergrowth, so wouldnt putting it on Greenlight be an, also perfect, commercial?

I think you´re right. Overgrowth is a quite cool game and unfortunately only very few people know it, so why no putting it to greenlight?

(Overgrowth is already approved for Steam and will be added in the future). this is a quote from the humble bundle page

It's always been this way. the game has been approved for a long time now. they just have to finish it.

Sniff. It's sad because Owergroth is a game like Minecraft, there is always something to add.

Steam takes a part of what Wolfire Games would earn.
Distributing the game by yourself is probably a far better idea, to earn as much as possible.

No, because on steam you can get a hundred times more attention. I dont know what % steam takes from the price, but I'm sure that even if it was as high as 50% which it surely isnt, it would still be worth it.

I dont think it would be good for PR. It in VERE VERY early alpha and they got like 1 and half a year to release.(they said 2 years last summer) Greenlight is for completed games and maybe beta

I think overgrowth already has a deal to come out for steam because lugaru is already here

problem is, overgrowth is still technically in early alpha, they said it will probably take a couple more years before the game is ready to be played commercially, but they do plan to put it on steam, and judging by how the game's fanbase is growing, it WILL be a big release.

trust me, i've preordered, and you should too.

If it were put on Steam, I'd buy it in literally two seconds.

It's still an alpha. Beleive me once it's done it will INSTNANTLY come out on steam. *poof* like magic. Here's a tip, pre-order it from wolfire, you'll get the alpha AND the game once it comes out.
