The community has shown their interest in this game. Valve has reached out to this developer to start moving things toward release on Steam.

Lost Sol Multiplayer
While designing Lost Sol, I kept the option of multiplayer always in mind. In Lost Sol, all ships, stations, asteroids, etc. can be packed into text format (JavaScript Object Notation). This makes it possible to transport those objects between databases. Currently it allows easy sharing of these assets in Steam Workshop or by simple file shearing. This system was initially designed for multiplayer, if the game ever reached that point.

I want to first focus on singleplayer experience. Then I can consider multiplayer models like :
  • Co-Op - Where the host is the captain, and every client is a single crew member.
  • Arena Style - Where the host, and every client connected, owns their own ship and crew.

This is where we need your help. Without community support, I can't continue to improve and expand Lost Sol. We all would benefit, if everyone shares this project with their friends.
