Convoys and Transports
Hello all,

First off thanks for this awesome mod! I am having good fun with it. So far I have played a game with the UK on a old version of the game. The map was a bit different so this issue was less pressing.

So the major issue I am having is with convoys and transports and the fact that then cannot be on the same tile as anything else. This makes it very hard (pretty much impossible) to get through the Gibraltar water way. It also makes transporting units across the Atlantic very annoying. I understand what the objective is, and that is to make them valuable to sub attacks as well as ship attacks. I understand this and completely support it, however in the current start it is really degrading the ability to play the game, and adds a huge level of micro management to moving troops and moving convoys.

I personally think allow up to two transports or convoys in the same tile at a time would greatly increase the playability. But still do not allow anything else to enter the tile. Maybe to make them more vulnerable you could also make it so the weakest unit always gets attacked. So basically this change would involve allowing 2 transports in the same tile or 2 convoys, or 1 transport or convoy in the same tile.

What are your thoughts on this?

Also how hard would it be to mod this? Is this a Lua change or a xml change or what?

Also would it possible to make it so other units can at least pass through transports and convoys, but not stop on them?

Lucky you. I don't even have transports. I'm guessing they come in later?

No the transports are embarked land units. Those are the transports. The SuperPowers Mod does what i am talkng about with two non miltary units on the same water tile. So at least I know it is possible now.

Yes, and the embarked land units have to embark from in within one tile a city. Nice to know that now.
