Otherwise, go through the usual trouble shooting... Verify game files... If that doesn't work, remove STNH, verify, readd STNH and see if that resolves it...
Also try a different map size if you're trying the very large maps... Depending on your specs, you might be asking too much of your system as STNH's large maps are vastly larger, and have 3-4 times the empires than even the absolute largest vanilla games...
Haven't tried verifying as yet, but will try that later. Will do the same with the maps. Tried the full lore version of the milky way and got as far as it loading the start of game before crash. The load bar was right at the end too.
I have a ryzen 5 2400g, 16gb ram and gtx 1060 6gb gpu. So thought that may have been powerful enough....
- tried both large and medium maps
- then reinstalled ST mod again
- then verified game files
- tried loading smallest map, still doesn't work
I haven't played this mod for a long time but it used to run on my computer fine and never had this problem before and my hardware is for the most part same.
When you say other mods, do you mean the UI sub mods, or other non-STNH mods?
If you're trying to run STNH with other non-STNH mods then yeah, it usually won't work..
And that's why the official stance is that non-STNH mods should not be used as, even if they worked previously, whether or not they will after each new update cannot be assured, and it's also entirely unpredictable as to how they might interact with STNH...
