Did you make sure to have the correct .anim file for them? maybe they are somehow missing or something and is trying to use the default .anim, either that or you might have another mod that's also modifying the .anim of these familiar, thus resulting in glitched sprites in game because of the conflicting .anim files

How would I go on checking/fixing this?

Sorry, I got really busy and ended up completely forgetting about this. to check you can go inside the mods folder and do a search of the entire folder by putting in the name of the sprites/anims you have problems with inside the search bar, if you see multiple of them as the result then check both where they came from with the open file location and see if they're from seperate mods, if that's the case that means the two mods are conflicting thus resulting in the messed up sprites/animations so try disabling one of the offending mod see if it fixes the issue
