Left 4 Dead 2

Extended Common Infected
Problems with models not being pre-cached.
I've used this add-on for a long while with various population mods, but I've been trying to make one of my own and have been running into the same crash a lot. It also applies to other population mods, too. The error message is as follows:

"511/ - infected: UTIL_SetModel: not precached: models/infected/common_male_trackjacket.mdl"

I've already tried verifying my game's files, putting "+precache_all_survivors 1" in my launch options and after starting a map, uninstalling my campaigns, and making sure my add-ons are up to date. I even reinstalled the game! Is there anything else I can do short of downloading that Sourcemod plug-in?

Did you fix this?
I recently reposted this question to the general discussions page and only got two responses. The first was to manually cache each model through V-Script, which the person never elaborated on. The second was to install the aforementioned Sourcemod plugin, which is an entire process in and of itself and would result in missing or invisible models. I've personally opted to just stop using the mod, as much as it sucks.
I know, right?
@Captain Church

Good news! I believe I've written a Vscript that precaches the models and thus prevents the crashes from happening at the cost of a negligible amount of lag. Hopefully I'll get permission to publish it from the devs after a bit more testing, but it seems like I've found a solution.
