I am interested in this game, but I was wondering if there will a release of the dev tools to allow for modification of the unit types as well as the creation of new missions/campaigns.

Releasing mod tools has been on my mind - especially a map/mission creator. There are a few "technical" details required to get a new map to work in game, but really all that requires is for me to document the process with a tutorial on how to do it.

No date on when this will happen but it is on my to-do list.

While I am no modder, I love games like this that allow for modification. It really helps lengthen the life of the game.

Modding at the lowest level - reskinning

The next update (v.1.4) should be fully moddable to either change small individual parts or make a total conversion. All items/weapons can be renamed, tweaked

I've coded it so that the game will automatically look and see if each troop class has it's own unique character model, or be randomized from multiple character models or have it's own class based texture or have a random texture --- or random all of that!

Here's a quick test of class based textures using a single model and all 7 classes.

And I've made that overview map where you can select troops by clicking on their icon which everyone has been asking for. :)

Updates will be everywhere ... when it's done ... hopefully the end this month (Feb) - I'm still fighting with the new motion captured animations, which have been a bit more difficult to use than expected ... but I'm getting there. :)
