Castle Fight

Flying is so overpowered it's not even funny.
I'm not a great player, however, apparently all you have to do to win, is 1. pick naga, 2. spam flying, 3. spam flying some more, 4. Time them to spawn at the same time, 5. you win.

Seriously, I have won three games in a row with just this strategy. That's 6 rounds of just flying units. Every other round I played people would desperately spam frost, orc, or high elf, just to have some semblance of balance to counter the stupidly powerful air. However, even when you have several chilling mushroom towers, trappers, archers, an entire army of ranged units. It literally does not matter when you are spawning 20 winged serpents every 25 seconds all at once, 15 minutes into the game.

“But Roboooot!” I hear you ask, “Just go Chaos, and make eraser towers to instantly kill all the duplicates!” That is a very valid point, and probably one of the only ways you can actually defeat a horde of flying units. However, if you’re being beaten senseless for 20 minutes straight by flying, and somehow still manage to survive, AND finally have enough resources for an eraser, it won’t matter to naga. For some reason, spamming temple of snakes (the winged serpents building) will net you a very respectable income (around 100 gold by 20 minutes, in my experience, 130 gold, if you make a treasure box) and, of course, an absolute ton of lumber. Using these resources, even if a naga’s flying units are completely eradicated by an eraser, naga can just spam mind control towers, set them to all the trigger at the same time, and take over almost an entire army in a moment. Which is certainly, (hopefully) enough for the rest of your team to win the battle, and then the game.

Besides just damage, health, or spawn rate, balance issues, flying is also overpowered in the early game, purely from a game mechanic point of view. Here's an example, one side has 1 ranged, and 1 melee. The other, has 2 flying. When they fight, one flying dies, and one ranged dies. However, the melee, since it cannot target flying, keeps marching towards the castle, causing the remaining flying unit to chase after him. At this point, 2 more flying spawn, and now all three are targeting the one melee. As a result, no flying are walking towards the castle, and they don't distract the enemy troops. Now the 1 ranged, and another melee arrive at the castle, after a while, the ranged dies, and the melee remains to gather more flying. The pattern continues until you have gathered critical mass of flying units (in the games I played usually it was around 5-6 flying units), and these flying units (assuming they are either corruption, or naga flying) will almost one shot any 5 minute combination of units, from there it only continues to snowball until the enemy uses a rescue strike. However, the ball is already rolling, and the you are already making 3-4 flying units at once

So you see, flying is a big problem, not just at the beginning of the round, but to the late game, and beyond. The unbeatable snowball early game, the positive, and negative economical effect they produce on both teams, that lasts throughout the entire game, the lack of skill, or thought needed, and, even if all of that fails, flying produces enough income, and lumber to finance a different, late game strategy, against a desperate, tired team, that completely teched against flying.

So how do you fix this? I would recommend reducing the spawnrate of flying units, or just make them not able to be made at the start of the game. Even though flying will dominate the early game, if they were forced to be introduced in the mid game, teams have more options available to them to counter flying, and because of this, flying wont have such a dominating effect.

I’ll be honest, I really hate this strategy. Like I said, it’s super easy to do, super powerful, and just not fun at all for either teams, but if you don’t use this strategy, they will. When a stupidly overpowered feature like this, that doesn’t require any skill, dominates every game you play, you’re going to stop playing that game, because it’s not fun anymore. Seriously, this game is going to die more than it is, if something like this exists. VicFrank, please fix :(.

TL:DR: The unbeatable snowball early game, the positive, and negative economical effect flying units produce on both teams, that lasts throughout the entire game, the lack of skill, or thought needed, and, even if all of that fails, flying produces enough income, and lumber to finance a different, late game strategy. Flying is too powerful.

(Btw I really, really, like this gamemode, and I would love to see this project grow, and have more people playing it, this was just a gripe I had plz forgive)

Probably because they're cheap but still hit ground.

it's already balance, so much countered air units, for early game troll, archer elf and night elf, chilling
for mid game rocket tank, dragon hawk rider, marksmen
late game ofc the legendary amazon can beaten them easily, that night elf would rich like crazy, only 5 shot and BANG!! GOODBYE SERPENT!!!

NOTE: U NEED TANK TO AGAINST THEM, CASTLE FIGHT IS TEAMMATE PLAYING, NO UNITS OR RACE IMBA IF U KNOW HOW TO USE IT, SLIGHT STRONGER THAN ELSE MAYBE BUT NOT FULLY OP
