Table of Contents
(1) Where are the rule books and charts located?
(2) Where are the pieces for the Widow's Walk expansion located?
(3) How do I set up the Widow's Walk expansion room tiles?
(4) How do I use the Secret's of Survival book and Rule book?
(5) How do I use the Traitor's Tome in the black bag?
(6) How can I read the cards or tiles easier?
(7) What is the "Character Selector" die? How do I use it?
(8) Where can I view stuff about this game online?

"Widow's Walk" will commonly be abbreviated as "WW"

(1) Where are the rule books and charts located?
All booklets and charts are located at the bottom right of the table in bags, above the default Survival and Rule booklets. Hover your cursor over the bags to see what the bag is called. I recommend right-clicking the bags and using the "search" option to view what's inside the bags and drag&drop what you need.

(2) Where are the pieces for the Widow's Walk expansion located?
The reddish bag labeled "Widow's Walk Expansion - Components" includes various bags of all the things you'll need for that expansion.

Using Right-Click > Search on the bags will make it significantly easier to find what you are looking for. You can drag and drop object from the bag's search box onto the table.

It contains:

- Greenish Tan Bag 1 "New Room Tiles"
--- Completely new tiles the expansion added.

- Greenish Tan Bag 2 "Default Room Tiles"
--- Tiles from the original game, but made to match the new expansion tiles.
--- (use these tiles instead of the ones already out on the table to play the expansion)

- Pinkish Bag "List of Pieces"
--- Contains 3 index cards listing all the parts that come with the expansion.

- Dark Grey Bag "Character Explorer Tokens"
--- Contains 6 colored bags, with 6 colored tokens in each bag, for each player.

- Black Bag "Square Tokens"
--- Include tokens to be used on the board.
--- ("right-click -> search" is useful for to drag&drop which piece you need)

- Light Grey Bag "Obstacle Tokens"
--- Include tokens to be used on the board.

- Dark Reddish Bag "Large Circular Monster Tokens"
--- Include monster tokens to be used on the board.

- Yellowish Bag "Event Cards"
--- New cards the expansion added. Add these to the existing deck and shuffle.

- Orangish Bag "Item Cards"
--- New cards the expansion added. Add these to the existing deck and shuffle.

- Green Bag "Omen Cards"
--- New cards the expansion added. Add these to the existing deck and shuffle.

- Light Blueish Bag "Booklets"
--- Contains the booklets for the expansion.
--- Includes the Survival, Traitor's, and Widow's Walk Traitor's booklets.
--- Also includes the W.W. double-sided rule tablet and Haunt chart.

(3) How do I set up the Widow's Walk ("WW") expansion room tiles?
For playing the WW expansion, use the WW room tiles inside the 2 bags of the "Widow's Walk Expansion - Components" bag. Those tiles are to fully replace the default room tiles currently placed on the table.

The "Widow's Walk - Default Room Tiles" bag contains all of the base-game room tiles.
The "Widow's Walk - New Room Tiles" bag contains all of the WW room tiles.

The reason there are 2 sets of base-game room tiles (the one at default on the table, and the one in the WW bags) is because the scans of the tiles are of different color. If you were to mix the ones already on the table with the WW tiles, you would notice when a default or WW tile would be on top of the deck (the WW tiles are darker/have more contrast).

(4) How do I use the Secret's of Survival book and Rule book?
On the book, Right-Click > State and choose the state number that correlates to the page number. For example, State 5 of the Rulebook is pages 8-9, and State 15 of the Secrets of Survival book is for Haunts 26-27.

(5) How do I use the Traitor's Tome in the black bag?
(1) Pull the Tome out of the black bag
(2) On the Tome, Right-Click > State and choose the Haunt number as the State number
(3) Put it into the Traitor's hand
(4) Flip the tomb over using "F" to reveal the information on the other side
(5) Use "ALT" to view and read the Tome in your HUD (works for other objects too)

(6) How can I read the cards or tiles easier?
When you hover your mouse cursor over any object, hold ALT (by default) to show the object in your Heads Up Display (HUD).

Holding ALT over cards and tiles will zoom them in for you, and will be easier to read.

Also, many of the pieces have tooltip descriptions when you hover your mouse cursor over them, as well as when you keep the cursor there for a few seconds.

(7) What is the "Character Selector" die? How do I use it?
It's there to give you the option to use a die to randomly select your character if you didn't want to choose for yourself. It's for players that either want added randomness or replayability, and/or for those who don't want to choose a character themselves.

It doesn't exist in the real game. The die in-and-of itself has no coding and no game-manual function.

Hover your mouse cursor over the die, and mash "F" (the default key to "Flip" objects). You can also roll the die with "R" but the die will bounce/move around. Mashing "F" will keep the die in place (Although, the "mash F" option might not be truly random).

(8) Where can I view stuff about this game online?
Another location for basic rules and information can be found at this website[www.ultraboardgames.com].

What is the Character Selector die? I've seen it in multiple Tabletop Simulator versions of this game, but none of them say what it's for, and it doesn't exist in the real game.

It is there to give you an option to use a dice to randomly select your character if you didn't want to choose one yourself. That's it. It's for players that either want added randomness or replayability, and/or for those who don't want to choose a character themselves.

The die in-and-of itself has no coding and no game-manual function. It's just there for the option and for fun~

I hope that clears that up for you.

This game looks fantastic! I'm just wondering why it says it's up to 4 players even though the main board game is up to 6 players. Is this some kind of limitation with Tabletop Simulator?

No, it's not a limitation, it was just old tags/metadata. The game supports 3 to 6 players.

I've have updated it now!

I believe when I first created this, in that version of Tabletop Simulator, it only had the simple option of "4+ players" when a game could have more than 4 people. Pretty sure that was why it said 4.

They updated that feature though, I just never thought to update the workshop only for the metadata.

Thank you for your input.

I don't know if it's just me, but the bags for the room tiles for Widow's Walk only have the roof landing and the widow's walk tiles. The bag for the default widow's walk tiles (which has a typo by the way) also includes the gymnasium. I don't know if I screwed something up?

I am not sure what the problem you are describing is.

For playing the game with the expansion tiles, the Widow's Walk (hereinafter will be called "WW") tiles are to fully replace the default tiles currently placed.

The "Default Room Tiles" bag should contain:
[-] Basement Landing
[-] Upper Landing
[-] Grand Staircase / Foyer / Entrance Hall
[-] a deck of 42 room tiles

Those are all of the base-game room tiles.

The "New Room Tiles" bag should contain:
[-] Roof Landing
[-] a deck of 19 room tiles

Those are all of the WW room tiles.

The reason there are 2 sets of base-game room tiles (the one at default on the table, and the one in the WW bag) is because the scans of the tiles are of different color. If you were to mix the ones already on the table with the WW tiles, you would notice when a default or WW tile would be on top of the deck (the WW tiles are darker/have more contrast).

I don't remember why it is this way, it has been a long time since I originally made this setup. It does seem kinda weird. But I think I had a decent reason for doing it this way.

I can always update the setup, but I am afraid I might break or mess something up, since it's been so long since I made this.

And sorry for that typo you mentioned, I had a lot to type. Hopefully there are no other typos. I will fix that typo if I ever need to push a decent update for this setup (a new update seems not too useful for 2 swapped letters).

Anyway, I am sorry for any confusion, and I hope this was the information you needed.

Thank you for your time.

This absolutely was! It didn't even cross my mind that the room tiles would be in the bags as a deck rather than a series of individual tiles, which is what I was originally looking for. It's also good to know that I shouldn't mix into the original stack. Thanks again for the help!
