It is there to give you an option to use a dice to randomly select your character if you didn't want to choose one yourself. That's it. It's for players that either want added randomness or replayability, and/or for those who don't want to choose a character themselves.
The die in-and-of itself has no coding and no game-manual function. It's just there for the option and for fun~
I hope that clears that up for you.
No, it's not a limitation, it was just old tags/metadata. The game supports 3 to 6 players.
I've have updated it now!
I believe when I first created this, in that version of Tabletop Simulator, it only had the simple option of "4+ players" when a game could have more than 4 people. Pretty sure that was why it said 4.
They updated that feature though, I just never thought to update the workshop only for the metadata.
Thank you for your input.
I am not sure what the problem you are describing is.
For playing the game with the expansion tiles, the Widow's Walk (hereinafter will be called "WW") tiles are to fully replace the default tiles currently placed.
The "Default Room Tiles" bag should contain:
[-] Basement Landing
[-] Upper Landing
[-] Grand Staircase / Foyer / Entrance Hall
[-] a deck of 42 room tiles
Those are all of the base-game room tiles.
The "New Room Tiles" bag should contain:
[-] Roof Landing
[-] a deck of 19 room tiles
Those are all of the WW room tiles.
The reason there are 2 sets of base-game room tiles (the one at default on the table, and the one in the WW bag) is because the scans of the tiles are of different color. If you were to mix the ones already on the table with the WW tiles, you would notice when a default or WW tile would be on top of the deck (the WW tiles are darker/have more contrast).
I don't remember why it is this way, it has been a long time since I originally made this setup. It does seem kinda weird. But I think I had a decent reason for doing it this way.
I can always update the setup, but I am afraid I might break or mess something up, since it's been so long since I made this.
And sorry for that typo you mentioned, I had a lot to type. Hopefully there are no other typos. I will fix that typo if I ever need to push a decent update for this setup (a new update seems not too useful for 2 swapped letters).
Anyway, I am sorry for any confusion, and I hope this was the information you needed.
Thank you for your time.
You're welcome! I'm glad we cleared that up. I've now added this information to the F.A.Q.
