Feature feedback and requests
While there are many large, well-made mods for EAW-FOC, this is one of the few which I actually enjoy playing. I think this is mostly due to the fact that it attempts to mostly keep the design direction of the vanilla game, while not adding too much clutter.


Here is what I believe are the design choices:

* Focus the Galactic Civil War (with minor exceptions), with Rebellion, Empire and Underworld (mostly Black Sun) as playable factions.
* Take only the old canon (pre-Disney) into consideration.
* Innovate by improving on existing vanilla mechanics.
* Remove units/mechanics which take away more from the game than they give, or end up being content clutter.
* No new content unless it serves a clear purpose.


And here are my suggestions:

1. EXPAND BLACK SUN TO UNDERWORLD
You already use units/buildings/heroes from multiple crime syndicates. It would make more sense to have a unified Underworld faction, and have the separate crime syndicates (Black Sun, Hutt Cartel, Zann Consortium, etc.) as minor factions, which you would slowly assimilate.
- What this would mean is just to move some heroes around and maybe replace a few (Move Boba Fett over and maybe add Jabba in his sail barge). It shouldn't affect balance *too* much, mostly just flavor.

2. AVOID HAVING MORE BUILD/TRAIN OPTIONS THAN VISIBLE IN THE INTERFACE
Currently there are often things I can build/train but can't see their button because there are too many. Also the buttons themselves don't seem to be sorted as well as they could be.
- This can be done by restricting similar units to different planets, based on lore. Could also be done by restricting the number of different types of production buildings you can have on the same planet. It might also help to rethink the order in which buildings/units appear in the interface (Ex: research, special units and heroes should always appear on the bottom row, after buildings. All other units should always appear at the top, sorted by role).

3. IMPROVE UNIT/BUILDING/PLANET DESCRIPTIONS AND/OR ROLES
All buildings should have in their descriptions their build requirements and if they are prerequisite to other buildings. Unit role names could be a little more diversified (instead of fighters and bombers, we could have: dogfighter, bomber, striker, interceptor, recon, multirole., etc.). Finally, make it clearer what special units/buildings can be bought on a selected planet (possibly through using the now disabled planetary bonus icon description).

4. REDUCE BASE GAME SPEED
This might be a little controversial, but hear me out. The base game is already sped up compared to when it was still in development (I've poked around in the game files). Also, it really looks out of place when ATSTs and ATATs animate 2 or 3 times faster when compared to the movies. You can always speed the game up in the menu, without losing frames (the way game speed is changed while in the menu is by increasing and decreasing framerate, which looks like crap when lowering the speed).
- From what I can tell, there are just 2 values that need to be changed (space and ground combat speed), and all that's left is just to proportionally adjust projectile speeds (they aren't changed automatically, I think).

5. AT LEAST DOUBLE THE COOLDOWN AND DURATION OF "RETREAT" AND LOCAL ABILITIES (BOMBING RUN, FIRE SUPERLASER, ETC.)
Makes retreating less of a no-brainer option when losing and also makes you think twice before sending forces into a battle.
For the special local abilities, increasing their cooldown makes them less of an "I win" button. Since friendly fire can't be implemented in a way that the AI will take it into consideration, this is the next best thing.

I agree with these suggestions please consider them!! Quality of Life improvements like the ones that were suggested are the most important imo, other mods tend to fail with that. I hope upcoming overhaul includes QoL stuff like that because it's the most important thing imo. :steamthumbsup:

I like the suggestions, Me personally I just want a guide to help me flush out what planets give what units to whom. A prime example being the maw giving the imps crazy cool ship options like the harrower class destroyer or how mon calamari lets the rebels build admiral raddis.
