NOTE: The Kingsword has been updated and no longer has shotgun functionality. Furthermore, piston for shotgun mode needs to be removed entirely for the Kingsword to work properly.

Long shrouded in the void, the Space Pirate’s most ambitious project has only just begun to make itself known. A string of high profile heists several years long has been fueling the construction of a vessel so powerful that it could forge them a permanent sovereignty. With a superweapon in their hands, there’s no telling how the pirate’s audacity might change.

The Subutai is a 13,000-block pirate warship built around the AWE Kingsword Ultraheavy Coilcannon. Capable of firing its 5200mm round in standard or shotgun modes, with plenty of auxiliary firepower to boot, the Subutai can rip apart heavily armored targets. For some, the compliment of drones, missiles, and torpedoes will be enough.

The heavily armored face of the Subutai makes a death wish of any frontal assault. Vulnerable to flanking, it always travels with a compliment of destroyers at the very least. However, its two AQD upgradable gyroscopes allow it to turn quickly. The widely distributed subsystems of the Subutai make for a surprisingly survivable vessel, even under continuous bombardment.

What if I don’t have X DLC?
Only Heavy Industry is critical. Two conveyor lines leading to the cryopods will need to be fixed without Warfare 2.

Usage Notes:
Extend the piston (toolbar 2 button 2) to fire the Kingsword in shotgun mode. This does not damage the ship, and can be done on the move. Miraculously, that is the ship’s only subgrid, so it’s overall pretty simple.
