Introduction

The Bundeswehr - Modifikation is a community of interest for the computer game series Armed Assault, whose goal is to make material of the Bundeswehr accessible in Arma 3.
The main focus is on vehicles, weapons and equipment that were or will be acquired by the Bundeswehr in a period of 2005-2020, such as the IdZ system or the SPz Puma.

A couple years ago we had a public forum on our website, but our experience with it was not so great. Therefore we are currently limiting our communication to Steam and a couple social media platforms. Maybe we will revisit this decision in the future.

@SkiF It's set to 4000m. I remember that we had sometimes issues when aiming below the horizon line in the beginning phase of the flight path. Maybe this could cause your issues with the range.

It's on purpose that we detonate the Spike after it's reached it's current maximum range. Our plan ist that we want to change from our proprietary NLOS guidance system to a more modular system that hopefully finds it's way into a future ACE3 release (Github PR #8215 & #8931).

In the meantime you can change to a more vanilla friendly approch by changing the magazines of both the Puma and the MELLS launcher to BWA3_2Rnd_Spike_Lr if the issue is a dealbreaker for you.

Also i've noticed that number on the left top of the MELLS UI starts with a negative numbers, but on vides on youtube it starts with positive numbers.

MELLS on PUMA works when i toggle on thermal, then lock warm vehicle and seconds after launch of the SPIKE i lock target with CTRL+T. In other situations it exlodes midair.
