Provence THEME

Popis
This theme is made for tropical maps. I will hopefully update it asap. Til then, try out the NEW PROJECT MONACO MAP THEME! - Made for temperate maps http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1246231073
---------------------------------------------------

This old Provence theme here uses a tropical base, so the yellows are going to be quite harsh.

I recommend using at least an LUT to take out the harsh yellow tinge that has made the peach walkways orange. Colorful Summer Day by Dexter is what I use to reduce the orange and change it back to its intended peach. Link: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=680195135

Suggestion by Alborzka: "Using Theme Mixer (w/ Provence theme as a base) and only replaced Cliff Diffuse Texture with pdelmo's Temperate Coast HD, and Cliff Sand Normal Texture with StrayCatsTerritory, and it looks like an absolute dream: http://imgur.com/a/MX68O "

When I design themes, I use Daylight Classic mod. Although it's not required, this theme looks pretty awful without it. That's pretty much true of most themes based in the tropical biome.

May 24 2016 - reverted to original

May 23 2016 - big update, many changes including some higher quality textures. New tile pattern is thanks to BigBadNonja! You can find the complete tiles collection here: http://steamcommunity.com/workshop/filedetails/?id=599482100

March 9 2016 - Update All images before Sunset image are how the theme now looks. It looks a lot better to me, I hope you like the changes? Let me know! :):
- Removed Rock sprites
- Darkened cliff face texture, it was too light
- Higher quality grass texture, also much less yellow, and a richer tone. Other textures have been tweaked to go with it.
- Color under trees slightly different, as is fertile color
- Water colors BIG changes, greatly improved I think
- Gravel (the side of railroad tracks and on dirt roads for example) has been

This theme was made to go with the Monaco Map here: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=633279574

It also looks nice with any tropical map.

Watch the video to see the vibrant peach and other pastel colors in the real location.

The theme is not perfect, but hopefully it makes a nice atmosphere. Special attention paid to the colors of land, sea, pavement, resources, so ideally they blend more than vanilla.

Meadow flowers effect: Ore is flecked with barely perceptible little lavender bits, and oil has little yellow flecks. Athough not as good as others' work, I tried to get as close to that idea as I could.

The pastel colors of the local area are hopefully emulated well, and attempts to include overtones of the interesting peach pink rock formations that can be seen in Monaco and parts of Corsica and Provence. The peach on the water is not intentional. It is either supposed to be a reflection of the tropical clouds, or is programmed to be a reflection of the cliffsides. I did my best to get the ocean waters as blue as I could despite this peach reflection.

Thanks to BigBadNonja, Owl and Saamrocks11 for their help, inspiration and enthusiasm, which helped this project reach completion.

Hey maroha3814, I'm glad you said something because it did start to bother me, too :D It's supposed to be peach. I found that this LUT by Dexter works really well. An LUT isn't a mod, it's just a color filter, so that's better than adding a mod. Link: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=680195135

okay thanks

you need DAYLIGHT CLASSIC mod to get rid of the yellow that plagues all Tropical zones. That, your use an LUT instead of a mod. The colors got worse after a visual update.

I just put the old one back, guess what I'm doing now? I've been replacing brick by brick so that it doesn' thave that repeated brighter spot XD XD. I really love the tile too, so I don't mind doing it at all. So, it will have the same color, only look a bit better.

While I do enjoy the tiles, I was fine with that other pavement for the most part but it looked too grey at night. With the current tile design I think that it is fine at night, but I do have to play with low settings so that may impact it.

Hi Break Maker I'm glad you commented, I need your input. I made a change to a lot of things including the pavements. But like you, I like the original pavement, but I have to work on it to make it nicer. By the time I had made the second changes last night, it was 3 AM :D
So this morning I'll make the pavement with the tiles like they were and send another update. Is there anything else you think didn't go well? I think it now is too dark during the daytime, maybe a little more brightness? What do you think? Thx for helping! :)

I was playing with this fine, but (seemingly) after the update the pavement looks have changed.
Is this meant to be how it looks or something wrong?
