Hi! Thanks a lot for this map! But could you make a normal city of Rotterdam? Because at the moment its under water and there is 0 citizens there!

It's better now : Only main towns, resources placed , (i.e.Oil from harbours), relief smoother ...
Not too hard to start in médium.

Don't use Paintshop...Google "Free on-line photo editor". You will find dozens of free places and utilities that will allow you to soften that map properly. I used Paint-Shop Pro, but there are others that are much better. Try this link.. https://www.google.com/search?q=free+online+photo+editor&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8#q=best+free+photo+editor&*

If you "soften" or "blur" your orriginal pic just a bit(using something other than Paintshop.), it should remove a lot of that blockyness. You may need to add or work on the rivers a bit as the may get removed. *It worked for me.

I enlarged with Paintshop the original Map "heightfield" i used in the wonderful "Map Creation Tool" before placing sea level, towns and resources. I think he bigger pixels became visibles in the game like in Minekraft. Need to start from the biggest picture supported (16 millions pixels). All this work done thanks Mouchi's tutos.

I can load the map now, thanks. The map does look really fun, but like sumitsessle said, the map terrain is very uneven, almost "robotic" (looks kind of like a circuit board close up). Makes building large stations very challenging and costly. In my opinion it needs to be a little flatter/smoother. Other that that, the map is great. We need more maps built to "country/nation" scales like this one.
