@King - With this pump you can not.
Use "Extra Landscaping Tools" mod, put dirt in the outline of the map, and then the ocean will be a large lake.
Then use water source, but as drain, and put many. I do not know if that worked. Try it.

how much water does it remove? im trying to drian the ocean on the earth map to make a city

Random changes of colour aren't that fine. I like the blue.
