Description
Using the weapons DLC, i've made a turret for a smaller battleship. Each canon fires independently via hotkeys 1-3.

The tracking is done by combining 2 different other creators' creations. "Radar Auto Gun" by len343536 and "NJ EXAMPLE DLC WEAPONS" by MrNJersey.

I liked MrNJersey's use of the pivot camera on top of the barrel to allow you to move your crosshairs to assist with aiming. I went further after this and moved the radar from len343536 's creation on top of the pivot mounted camera. This way if you line up the crosshairs in the camera, its tilting the radar too, which changes the way it senses the elevation of the target. This is then fed to the gun elevation to allow you to hit targets at range.

As of now its still partly manual in that you have to fire a couple ranging shots first, but once it's dialed in you can land shell after shell.
The 3 guns are reloaded by a large magazine below it that is lifted up when needed.

Also, when in mouse control mode the radar likes to freak out and damage the front part of the gun

Im running in to bit of an issue
in the seat it says

1-Fire 1
2-Fire 2
3-Fire 3
4-Toggle mouse/WASD control
5-Camera IR
6-Reload from magazine

The problem is everything is shifted down one, the intended control scheme is a bit broken

3-Toggle mouse/WASD control
4-Camera IR
5-Unknown
6-Reload from magazine

Any ideas? as this is rather annoying

@Engineer, sorry i didn't see your comment sooner. Absolutely! I'd like to see what you've done.

@Riu,yeah it is pretty big. I'm working on a newer version of it that is shorter to fit smaller ships. In this version you can already just remove a few layers. It does fit the hull I used for the video and the link though. I'm still using that hull for my battleship. Currently has 3 of these turrets that can all lock on via radar, gps, or follow a laser beacon.

hey Orrinbare, so i modified the turret to be shorter ammo storage wise and some other things and im using it on my battleship creation. Would you allow me to publish this if i gave you full credit and linked to this page?

@orrinbare it can spawn in the creative base hangar, so I think it can spawn in most other hangars. I attempted to put it on a ship the other day, and it worked well, but it was the front of a massive mission ship (Mr NJersey's Legare). the loading system is so big it can barely fit in any ships built currently lol.

@Riu, sorry i didn't think to include the battery to make it fully modular on its own. it does need to be in a ship though or it will sink. i haven't tried but I imagine its too large to spawn in the hangar to try out. i'm still working on the actual battleship in the video, i'll probably upload it when i'm done though.

Nevermind, it actually wasn't powered, solved with a large battery. Time to go screw up the look of some ships.

Dunno if I'm dumb, but I spawn it in on it's own to try it out, before putting onto a ship, and it doesn't seem to be powered? Please explain what I might be doing wrong. lol
