LoW - Phoenix Legion

Description
New High Elf Army
This one is based on the Phoenix Guard and features a couple of new units to spice your campaign with some variety.
All the units are recruitable from the same Phoenix Guard building chain starting at tier 3 with the most basic units ending at tier 5 with the more elite ones.
They have the same characteristics of the Phoenix Guard aka 30% Physical Resistance, Fear, Martial Mastery and expert charge defense for those that make sense having it. Overall good defensive units to hold a line, but you can also opt to use their cavalry or monster units, or the better alternative to the Bolt Throwers.

Units by Tier:
Tier III
  • Infantry is what your army will be mainly composed of. The Phoenix Phalanx, Swordsmen and Archers all have their respective roles to fill.
Tier IV
  • Shielded Archers are a more expensive versatile option to the archers.
  • Phoenix Knights are cavalry units that come into 2 variants either armed with Lances for devastating charges and fighting large units, or armed with Swords for prolongued melee combat against infantry.
Tier V
  • Phoenix Fire Thrower an artillery piece with longer range and capable of destroying fortifications effectively.
  • Phoenix Riders are able to attack the backline of the enemy army on their Flamespyre and Frostheart phoenixes. (Currently disabled in campaigns, available only in Custom Battles)
  • Phoenix Guard Archers are equipped with halberds and magical bows.
  • Phoenix Champions are an elite capped unit that is present in few numbers. Their cap can be increased by building Sanctuaries of Asuryan or holding certain landmarks.

Notes:
  • All the units scale with everything related to Phoenix Guard tech and lord skills, missile units all make use of skills and techs that buff missile damage/ammunition count or reload time, while their other stats will use make of the same trees as Phoenix Guards.
  • Some units also come with officers that lead them cause why not.
  • The Phoenix Guard building chain now also adds a tiny garrison of 2 units that improve with the building's tier, what's the Guard good for if they don't even defend their Temples?
  • The AI will also recruit these units in dedicated stacks so you can meet an entire stack of Phoenix Legion units! Their priority is still the same as any other army so you will see a bit more army variation with the High Elves.

As right now i consider the mod completely finished and i won't add anything in the near future, while there might be balance changes.

  2. I will not personnally make compability patches with other big overhaul mods, if you want to make your own patch feel free to contact me, i'm easy to reach.
  3. The mod will work 100% of the time in vanilla, crashes when using other mods are not my responsability. I try to make the mod as compattible as possible but something can go wrong, if it crashes try launching the mod on it's own first and then see what mods you could be using that conflict.
