Pollution Solution

A simple mod for Cities: Skylines that allows you to enable/disable Noise, Ground, and Water pollution.

Noise Pollution
  • Disabling and Re-enabling Noise Pollution takes effect after a few seconds.

  • Disabling Ground Pollution takes effect after a few seconds.
  • Re-enabling Ground Pollution will take some time for the pollution to build up.

  • Disabling Water Pollution takes effect after a few seconds, but it will take some time for the water to clear up.
  • Re-enabling Water Pollution takes effect after a few seconds, but it will take some time for the water to become polluted again.

  • You can enable toggle each type of pollution individually.
  • Settings are live, so you can toggle them while a city is running.

The mod isnt showing up anywhere in game for some reason. Anyone with an idea why? I can see it in the workshop that I have subscribed, but cannot see it in game menu...

@jar720, you should see some buttons in the "Options" panel. Take a look at the 4th screenshot.

Great, was getting tired of dealing with noise pollution from monorail stations.

I've just updated the mod! It should hopefully properly handle faster game speeds now.

@ASD I was looking again at your screenshots, and it looks like you have the "More Simulation Speed Options" mod installed and are running the game at 9x. I just tried that and it messes up the noise pollution removal because my mod only ever updates at most once per second - when you start going at higher than normal speeds, the game updates a lot more than normal in one second and I didn't take that into account. I'll need to update the mod to check the frame count instead of the wall time (which is probably a better idea anyway).

@ASD is it just the noise pollution that's behaving this way? That is, the ground and water pollution work correctly? If so, I think I have a possible idea for why it's doing that. I'll try to fix it soon.
