Homeworld Remastered Players Patch

Description
The Homeworld Remastered Players Patch resolves many bugs, exploits, and balance issues. It works with Gearbox's 2.1/2.303 Patches, and includes hundreds of additional improvements. It enhances singleplayer and multiplayer while respecting the look, sound, and feel of Relic's classics. Notably it fixes the 666 Formation Bug, the Cross Race Docking Bug, and is authored by the players who helped Gearbox balance Homeworld Remastered. It also features additional gameplay options including a campaign difficulty adjuster, user interface/camera adjusters, dual command mode, observer mode, vast unit caps, and much more.

This is being released by the community for the players and fans. Credits: Gearbox, Cloaked, Fear, Trebic, NoOne, Echo, Stuart, QuadS, Kadeshi, and all the other contributors, testers, and players providing feedback. Steam Instructions:
1. Click Subscribe
2. Play Homeworld Remastered
3. In the launcher, click Mods, select the 2.3 Players Patch, (optionally select a Campaign checkbox), and click Launch
4. You can play any skirmish/mission from the start based on your current progression, but don't load game saves from other versions/builds of the game. If you're having issues, see the Troubleshooting thread.

UPDATE, looks like it must have had something to do with Mission 9 that was crashing it. (while loading, when done Access Violation) I followed the troubleshoot steps again to no avail, but the Difficulty Scaling mod by itself without these goodies seems to work if you are on Steam Deck. it is dumb and silly this game could not have just come with a slider pre-built "Change Dynamic Difficulty to Mirror Original Homeworld Rather than Remastered" and just let the player select it from the get go lol

Finally got this Players Patch mod working, for first time. was interesting playing around with The SUpport Frigates holding onto units in passive, made it 3 missions to Mission 8 and it's doing the Access Code Violation again, which is a bummer because i haven't added or done anything to corrupt the mod I thought. following steps again, if it still won't let me load in I'll try the Difficulty Scaling mod back again. maybe the launcher hanging and having to close it via steam button everytime corrupted it? who knows. will update later so anyone else might see using a steam deck too and could gain some help from this

@1192292 - The patch changed Support Frigates to keep units docked in Passive tactics and launch units in Offensive tactics. So they can now carry docked units through hyperspace like hw1c.

Unfortunately, after following the troubleshooting guide posted here as well, Access Code Violation once the levels are done loading.no way to fix playing with any setting. Using the other mod on here called Difficulty Scaling , a standalone mod, that doesn't crash the game if anyone is in my boat as well.
(STEAM DECK) Regardless, thanks for the work , woulda been cool being able to have the other updated features as an old Homeworld big box owner back then, but just happy I can scale the difficulty to 0.6 with the standalone

fighters and convet docking bug with support frigate, when they docked, they can't undock, only way to undock is to retire the support frigate

@Batman - See the troubleshooting thread. Try to unsubscribe, restart steam, resubscribe, start hwrm, etc.

@James - Thats intended, per the change log: 'Missle destroyers now count againt the destroyer unit cap like hw1c'. Destroyers are capped at six in hwrm.

Mod has an issue in Homeworld 1'S campaign where it throttles the capital ships and only lets you build 6 destroyers and no missile destroyers, or 4 destroyers and 2 missile destroyers but not 8 total like in unmodded.
