Ever since my friend died i have been getting more frustrated and emotional about everything in life and its hard to handle things.
I removed my mods because it adds to stress.. The stress is leading to violence and suicidal thoughts.
I just sat here for 7 hours watching gore videos of people killing themselves and pondering if i really want this to happen to me.... Normal people dont do this.. Somethings wrong with me and i need to cut things out of my life.
ok? :)))))))))))))))))))))
Look, I hope you feel better soon, but I'm gonna steer clear of your mods from here on out. Not because there's anything wrong with them - you've always done good work. I just never know when the next time is that you'll get a wild hair and take your toys back again.
That being said, I did think Wibbles was a great mod, and you did well.
@fireborn dude you know how to get a hold of me if you need to chat.
Really, some mods for some game really pale into insignificance.
it is however selfish when you feel you have to brag how long it took you to make a mod, that you remove one because "it didn't get as many subs as i wanted" despite over a hundred people liking it and using it, and deciding to update a mod into a Highlander without telling anyone.
I do hope things get better for fireborn, but some of this he actually brought on himself.
Fireborn life always throws things at you that you never expected. Loss of a friend is one of them. I can relate I lost my son. Please seek the help you need you are way to young to deal with stress such as this. Your never prepared for losses of people who are close to you only age helps you cope better. Stay strong sometimes choosing life is the harder choice. But in the end seeing your child grow it is worth it. Thank you for Wibbles faim and the other great mods you gave us.
on another note, hope you can still keep you head up. Depression can be terrible and sometimes its impossible to get over them even with meds but if there is any help you can aquire, get it. I had years of psychological support, cant say I live totally happy now, but at least it helps to not see the world as only bad anymore
@fireborn: If you're still in mourning after that long, it's probably wise to seek counselling about it, rather than trying to deal with it on your own. your friend wouldn't want you to destroy your life over their death. I'm a high functioning autistic, and i know i can sound blunt and harsh a lot, and it doesn't help that from the get-go i'd been told you had a bad rep with dealing with people, or how i reacted when you turned your original turret mod into the Friendly AI highlander mod without warning. Since then i've tried to be as polite as i possibly could, even at those times when it seemed you had an inate talent for rubbing people the wrong way.
The modding community isn't as heartless as you think it is, but we're not Psi-Ops, letting us know you lost a good friend from the get-go might've helped a lot of people be able to cut you some slack, and even honor him or her in our way, like i did when I character pooled Platoon, a Modder who died in a Car Accident a few months after XCOM 2 came out.
