C_model question

I've come across a bit of a problem with skinning weapons. I exported a pyro melee weapon and it loaded in the model viewer and the testmap in 3rd person. Then I thought I'd see what it looked like in 1st person view and the skinning was completely stretched out and the mesh twisted and just wrong!

The model uses the weapon bone and a few added for use with jigglebones. I skinned the mesh to just the weapon bone after and it works.. but any added bones will cause it to do the above problem.

Is this something to do with c_models? as they are said to work in both 1st and 3rd person views but this seems to be broken in 1st person view

If anyone has found a solution to this then it would be a great help!
