Because more weapons existed with each passing year you tard ♥♥♥♥ that was in 1942 wasn't around in 1939, etc.
Because using an MG42 for example would be unrealistic? Dude get the ♥♥♥♥ out of here, I think RO1 was in many ways just as; if not more realistic than 2, and had more weapon choices that corresponded with the year. You are seriously the only one to make such far-out claims that use of such weapons is unrealistic. It doesn't even have to be weapons that came out later in the war, many weapons that were produced before the war and even when this game takes place that were used historically. Hell, even the Soviet HMG I believe is from WW1...not the DP-28 although that was from 1928 as well, so the point is still the same. Also there are many German players who would love the P08 Luger to be in game as well. I mean for ♥♥♥♥♥ sake, the MKB is in there and THAT gun probably wasn't even realistically in Stalingrad, if it was there was probably enough that you could count them all on one hand, which I doubt.
There may not be much a difference, but hell, since when was variety a bad thing? It fleshes the game out more, and makes it feel more authentic. Stop being a queerbait. That's all.
I'm just saying, that if an weapon isn't used in an certain battle it shouldn't be in that map/game. If there is a game which takes place in '40/'41, there shouldn't be an MG42 cause it entered service in the Wehrmacht in '42. That isn't realistic, and if an game like RO2, which is based on realism, would have an MG42 in an '40/'41 scene, it wouldn't be realistic. Ask some average person what they think about what I just said, they wouldn't even care. But to me, or any other person which is very passionate about the WW2, it would ruine the game. It would be like robots riding on ostriches fighting the US Civil war against against Eskimos.
Not to mention the MKB42 is in the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game, which is allows for some leeway imo.
Why does the game need to go past '40/'41? Just so you can play with some other guns?
If so, ♥♥♥♥ you, you're not worth it play this game.
And I will stop with talking to you for now, You're part of an National Socialist group, have SS in front of your name and you're wearing an SS cap. You're just an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ nazi...
and the weapons like the PPD 40 and the PPS 43 and a few Russian Mosin Nagant version couldn t be wrong.
I hope there will come in the future a few weapons AND the MG 42 was used in Stalingrad not so much but IT WAS THERE
Forgot the PPS 42
