A Camp in the woods
[DEV 12] First Year! and shadows.
June 30, 2015 - Millerbertinho
It is about time for another DEV announcement.
ANNIVERSARY!A Camp in the woods started development on 7th July 2014, and it is almost 7th July 2015! This means that there will be an update to fix the worst bugs on the game, and to add more features!
I finally found out what made those shadows sooo ugly, and it wasnt hard to fix them.
Time to compare how the shadows were before the update, and after the update. (prepare your eyes, it will hurt for sure!)
As you see, the new shadows are way way better! I am still tweaking them and checking if they can be applied to other stuff in-game.
New featuresI am currently working on the "A Camp in the Woods Modding Kit" which currently.. only changes in-game graphics, but that isn't a new thing: You can change in-game graphics manually too!
I will be experimentating with the patching system (It offers more options in modding, such as changing maps, events and stuff like that..) but the only way to make such a modding public is to release publicly the project sourcefile, however, if I do that, people will get too much access! This is the current situation with the modding kit.. for such a thing, I would need to manually choose the modders or make old versions' sourcefiles available (which kinda ruins modding on lastest versions).
That's it players!
It has been 1 year already.. oh my.. they grow up so fast (or slowly updates, you mean?)
