Fester Mudd: Curse of the Gold
Fester Mudd marches on...
December 3, 2012 - Trowsers

Hello adventure gamers!

We wanted to thank you for all the support and encouragement! This game is very special to us all, and we only hope that you will enjoy playing it as much as we have enjoyed creating it.

This announcement is to address a few of the comments and questions we have seen on the page.

Voiceovers - There have been a number of comments about voiceovers/voice acting. This has always been in the plan, however the popularity on Steam and the sales will dictate whether we can provide this function. Our desire is to provide a downloadable voice pack as a side item once this game generates enough funds to do so.

Language Support - Currently the game is in English, but we will also be providing the localizations for French, Italian, German and Spanish.

Operating Platforms – Fester will be available on PC, Mac, iOS mobile, and android mobile.

We also have a word from our amazing developer, Prank Entertainment!

“The development of Fester Mudd has been progressing nicely. The gameplay footage shown in the trailer gives a fairly accurate picture of the final product, but we are still polishing the game. For example, the music will go through a slight facelift before the release, but overall we want to retain the old school feeling, both visually and aurally.” Seppo Santapukki - Creative Director Prank Ltd.

Stay tuned for any new developments, and thank you so very much!!!

I don't know if I have a voice you're looking for but I will provide my services free of charge - seriously!

I like the option to turn off voice acting. There have been a few games I found it to be horrendous and sour my gameplay experience so an off switch is always appreciated.

In my opinion unless the voice acting is really good, don't bother with it. I tried playing an adventure game that was supposedly good, but the voice acting threw me out of it and i had to stop playing

I really hope there will be voices. Gemini Rue proved that a game can have voices and still be old-school. I would rather have one of the developers record place-holder quality voices with the mic on their computer then have no voices at all.

Thanks you for the good news !

As many players said it in the greenlight comments, we started playing point&click games with no voice at all in the 90s.
So indeed, Voice acting SHOULD REMAIN an OPTION that we can activate or can be disable. For non english speakers, of course we all learned a bit of english in the 90s by reading the texts...

I hope you will consider this as an option if Fester Mudd has to bring us back this nostalgia or the old school touch we are waiting for...

Have a nice day.
