strmystr86, you still get the armor the same way that you would with an unmodded game. No special chest hidden somewhere or anything. If you don't actually know how to get it, you can look it up on UESP, or see my other comments here on the Workshop. You may have to click back a few pages to see one that answers your question.

Where or how can i get the armor?
cfedey  [author] Sep 20, 2015 @ 5:50pm
DragonHunter, if there are any other mods you have that also modify this armor in any way, it could conflict with my mod. To be entirely sure, try testing this mod while it is the only one enabled, and see if it works then. If so, you'll have to figure out which one of your other mods is conflicting, and decide what you'd rather have.

wont work
cfedey  [author] May 6, 2015 @ 12:18pm
Noopster, I just tried to upgrade the Guild Master's armor in my game, and it worked fine. Just needed a piece of Leather for each armor piece.

Do you maybe have some other mod that's conflicting with mine? Try disabling all mods but this one and see if you still have trouble.

Have always looked for a mod like this, but my only problem is not being able to improve it at the crafting table. whenever i try i get the message: "you lack the proper perk to improve magical items", despite having the perk and a smithing level of 100. Any ideas why this is happening?

Les Miserables,

You need to do two things to get it:

Spoliers:

You need to complete the Thieves Guild questline (kill Mercer, restore Skeleton Key to the Sepulchur, get one of the Nightingale abilities from Nocturnal).

You also need to do five jobs from Delvin and/or Vex in Whiterun, Markarth, Windhelm, and Solitude. They also offer jobs in Riften, but the Thieves Guild already controls Riften. After doing five jobs, Delvin will offer a special job in that hold. I've also seen that he offers a special job in Raven Rock if you have Dragonborn installed, but I don't know if you need to do that as well for the armor.

After doing the special job in each hold and being the leader of the Guild, you'll get the armor.

Love this mod
Spartan D194 Jul 16, 2014 @ 1:13pm
OK. Just went back and stayed a werewolf. BTW great mode cfedey, always loved this armor and you made it worth wearing.
Xæro Jul 15, 2014 @ 11:02pm
yes i noticed that my helm disappeared and i was bald . but i looked at my inventory and it was equipped. i just ignored it. seems to have fixed itself.
cfedey  [author] Jul 15, 2014 @ 5:39pm
Spartan D194, apparently this is a glitch with the base game and is unrelated to this mod, aside from the glitch only affecting the Thieves Guild hood armor pieces.
Spartan D194 Jul 15, 2014 @ 10:49am
Has anyone else encountered the hood glitching and becoming invisible after becoming a vampire through Dawngaurd?
Xæro Jul 6, 2014 @ 11:33am
yes its a conflict. i have it sorted out now ty
cfedey  [author] Jul 6, 2014 @ 11:20am
punishu, if the armor is really unenchanted then there's probably another mod conflicting with mine, since even without any mods installed the armor should have enchants by default. Make sure no other mods are modifying this armor set.
Xæro Jul 6, 2014 @ 11:09am
i used the item id links below to get the armor
Xæro Jul 6, 2014 @ 11:08am
maybe i will try uninstall/reinstall

Xæro Jul 6, 2014 @ 11:07am
no, i installed this mod and when i went to equip the armor i noticed it wasnt enchanted
cfedey  [author] Jul 6, 2014 @ 9:49am
punishu, could you explain what you mean? With or without this mod, the pieces of the Thieves Guild Guildmaster armor are enchanted. This mod changes the enchants.
Xæro Jul 5, 2014 @ 9:52pm
the armor with those id's is not enchanted

<$$_HickoryStick_$$>, I answered this question below:

where do i find the armor
bloodwolf0417 Apr 11, 2014 @ 2:39am
ok thats cool lol just wanted to give some ideas is all thanks for responding :)
cfedey  [author] Apr 10, 2014 @ 1:58pm
bloodwolf0417, I'm not currently interested in changing the look of the armor. The purpose of this mod is to just change the enchants so that they're more suitable for an offensive playstyle. I don't plan on adding any other custom armor sets to the game, either.
bloodwolf0417 Apr 10, 2014 @ 3:10am
if u cld take the nighten gales armor and beef it up add a wolf fur cape and make a loincloth over the leggings it wld be awesome esp if the wolf loincloth had the pelt of the wolfs head on the front and called it sonething else it wld be awesome but i understand that is a huge order to fill so its cool if u dont want to do it lol
Kurra Aug 4, 2013 @ 8:51pm
oh thx
cfedey  [author] Aug 4, 2013 @ 2:09pm
wizardmasterinfinity, personally I think so, since the enchants on this are similar to those on the Nightingale Armor, except these are more offensive. If you use no Illusion magicka then the Nightingale Hood is useless to you, whereas this hood is good regardless of your playstyle. You should compare the two sets and decide for yourself.
Mustard Aug 4, 2013 @ 1:00pm
is this better than nightingale armour?
cfedey  [author] Aug 4, 2013 @ 9:18am
SCAR PREDATOR, this one is more difficult to get in my opinion. You need to do two things to get it: You need to complete the Thieve's Guild questline (kill Mercer, restore Skeleton Key to the Sepulchur, get one of the Nightingale abilities from Nocturnal.

After doing the special job in each hold and being the leader of the Guild, you'll get the armor.

how about this where do u get this one
Jackaroo Jul 26, 2013 @ 4:01pm
sweet thanks
cfedey  [author] Jul 26, 2013 @ 3:43pm
PimpMyDragon360°, you get the armor when you're officially appointed as the leader of the Thieve's Guild.
Jackaroo Jul 26, 2013 @ 5:13am
where can i find the armor?
Valgaras Jul 12, 2013 @ 1:45pm
Thanks cfed. That was the problem. Had some other mod that added a Thieves Guild horse and made the thief armor craftable. I tossed it and this works fine now. Danke!
cfedey  [author] Jul 10, 2013 @ 3:34pm
Valgaras, if you have any mod that affects the Guildmaster armor in any way, then it'll conflict with this mod. You can test it out if you want by doing this (backup your saves first): disable all mods except for this one, make a new character, give yourself Guildmaster armor, and if it does have the edited stats then it works fine and is just conflicting with another mod. If it's still the normal armor then it's a bug and I might have to look into it. Otherwise, sorry. There's nothing I can do with a conflicting mod except combine the two, which I can't do without permission from the ohter mod owner.

orange_ghast: I could. Maybe if I have time this weekend I'll do it. I haven't opened the Creation Kit in a while though, and I'd have to dust off the part of my brain that remembers how to do this.
orange_ghast Jul 10, 2013 @ 2:37am
Can you make this for Nightingale armor?
Valgaras Jul 9, 2013 @ 6:35am
I can't seem to get this to work. I already completed the Thieves Guild quest line and have my guildmaster armor juts sitting in one of my houses, but when I installed this mod, it didn't alter the stats at all. I even tried throwing it away and using the console commands to get it back. Still no change. I have some other mods for DB stuff as well as some general armor additions and city/town enhancements, but I don't believe anything else is conflicting with it. Anyone else having similar problems?
Ciho Mar 22, 2013 @ 2:39pm
Awesome Armor, now I don't have to feel bad for just focusing on the DB, now I can focus on Both x)
cfedey  [author] Mar 19, 2013 @ 3:09pm
Frost Ninja, I see what you mean, but that would detract from the whole point of this mod. Initially I just made this mod for myself, since I enjoyed the look of the Thieves Guild armor but wanted more offensive stats. To do what you suggest would be a step backwards from where I was going with this mod.

If you want those stats on your armor, I suggest editing the armor you want with the stats you want. It really isn't too hard to do so with the editing tools provided, and there are plenty of tutorials online if you get stuck.
Hyglik Mar 11, 2013 @ 3:28pm
Sense you're just adding a secondary enhancement to the armor it self, and on the Dark Brother Hoods Ancient Shrouded Armor all the basics are on the armor still I think you should revert the basic enhancements back to the Thieves Guild Masters armor and then just add a secondary enhancement.

Ex.
Guild Masters Chest: Carry Weight + 50 and Magic Resist
Guild Masters Gloves: 35% Lock Picking and the Double Backstab
Guild Masters Hood: Prices 20% Better and 30% Bow Damage
Guild Masters Boots: Pick Pocket 35% and Muffled

This way it keeps the defaults and just adds a little extra to make the assassin thief who wants to steal mostly, with the the help if he needs to kill.

nevermind, clicked on your link.

where do you find the armor in-game?
Bizarr3Gamer Jan 20, 2013 @ 3:55pm
thanks!
cfedey  [author] Jan 19, 2013 @ 4:25pm
You open the console by pressing ~ then by using the command player.additem <ID> <#> . You can find the IDs here [elderscrolls.wikia.com].
Bizarr3Gamer Jan 18, 2013 @ 7:14pm
how do you add the item via console commands?
cfedey  [author] Jan 17, 2013 @ 9:44pm
I'll have to make a character with just this mod enabled and see if it works out alright for him. I actually never tested it on a character who hadn't received the armor yet. I just assumed it worked ok since no one else has reported any problem with the actual receiving of the armor. If it works with just the one mod enabled then it's got to be a conflict or maybe just a bug on your end. In that case you can always just add the item in via console commands.
Bizarr3Gamer Jan 17, 2013 @ 2:26pm
Yeah i didnt, its probably a bug cus i didnt get anything altering the guild armor before i found out i didnt get the armour. I'll mess around with it to see if its a conflict with a mod, thanks for trying to help me though! I appriciate it.
cfedey  [author] Jan 17, 2013 @ 12:15am
You're sure you only got the hood? She's supposed to give you all four pieces. Make sure the item is the same as it is in the above picture. If it isn't, and/or you really didn't get all four pieces, it could be a bug or a conflicting mod.
Bizarr3Gamer Jan 16, 2013 @ 4:37pm
Nevermind, she did give me it after it was official but she only gave me the hood... It's sad D:
Bizarr3Gamer Jan 16, 2013 @ 2:37pm
When you just become a nightengale? Cus i only got the hood. Or do you have to find her after you kill Mercer and get it?
