The whole realm also feels a bit high up. Like we're racing on top of the swamp. The whole realm could also feel a bit more 'swampy' I guess. Doesn't exactly capture the Swamp Realm perfectly. Although, I do understand that Distance has its limits.
And yeah, the mosquitoes didn't activate at all.
The track also feels a bit squeezed together. The swamp beast shows up a bit early and the whole track feels short in general.
Although, I do have a bit of constructive criticism to give.
What's with the different start to the track than usual? With Dr. Tezla giving us advice, which doesn't seem like something Dr. Tezla would do, but moving on. It might help to at least have an arrow to show that you're supposed to turn off the track, so you don't crash into the pit.
Also, the realm is kind of hard to enter. If you don't enter at the right angle, you fly off in the wrong direction and have to restart the whole track.
I was also able to get your acceledrome, would it be okay if I used it (with credit, obviously, to both you and alex chosen)?
Thanks for taking the time to tell me what this realm needed! The mosquitos were intentional, as there were some tips at the beginning of the track warning you about that. Although, seeing as they usually don't do that to you, I might revise it a little bit. The start will have to be streamlined, but as it is you can get out of the very beginning by just boosting and then taking the single arrow - although I suppose that part is a little crash-prone. I'll extend the width of the route out of the test track.
As for replacing the vines with popups, that's actually an excellent idea! You'll definitely see something like that in a future version of this map.
First, the "mosquitoes" are too close to the player. You can't boost, or they kill you, guaranteed (or was that the intent?). Checkpoints imo are too sparse, creating an extremely hard map to progress in. Also, you could totally make the vines move by using the stalactites/mites (the ones that pop up).
I'd also say the falling spikes are a bit too close together on some parts, and using water, I think you could emulate the "stay in the groove" point of the realm (but I'm a n00b at the editor, so I'm not totally sure). Also, the beginning needs to GO. That, I get it, is a replication of the test track at the start of The Speed of Silence, but it's EXTREMELY annoying, especially with the lack of checkpoints.
As for your aesthetics, the look good as always, though I think the swamp beast looks a bit derpy. Keep on going, this could be a really good realm, man!
