If development is going so slow why not open source it? Let the community take a crack at it. I know I would play with the rendering engine quite a bit, maybe add in a full physics engine.

Thanks very much for your ongoing support.
Unfortunately, development of the new FWsim version is delayed, and we predict a release no earlier than 2018. We want the Steam version to be really good, which takes a lot of time.

Yes this is awesome and I see for us who have already purchased it we will be able to get the steam version!!! So excited! Congrats!!! sure puts that OTHER Fireworks game *cough "Fireworks Simulator" cough* to shame that I wasted money on in steam, as this is a company that will STICK WITH their project, and even has continued to always update it and keep us in the loop! I actually have made a few custom fireworks in FWSim and it has a great library from other user created fireworks, and now that it will be joining steam, that's just even more people and creations to come!

Greenlit! Thanks for your support. We will work to improve the game over the next months, we aim for a Steam release in Spring 2017.

Hey lukas, I would like to suggest adding a Z level or height to firework placings so you can place them on 3D models easier. I am so exicted and I voted for it!

i really hope to see this released... i was just playing around tonight and i love creating shows with my music... my wife loves to watch some of the things i've created as well

pr3sto: I agree it's not a classical game with points and scores, but neither are many other Sandbox games on Steam. Before the Steam release, we plan to make it more appealing to gamers.

FETH: you mention improving the graphics. This is definitely on our wishlist for the Steam release.

Thanks - reading all of your comments. We thought about Mac support. Unfortunately, so far demand for a Mac version was very low, so we didn't invest time on this yet. Therefore, the first Steam version will be only for Windows. Sorry!

Looks impressive but don't think it will have good play value as a game, it seems more of a tool for a very specific market
