what are the requirements to get this game to steam
TheHairyGamer Nov 15, 2015 @ 7:05pm
I saw and played this at PAX and couldnt get enough. I took my friends there the next day too and they loved it just as much.
yods Nov 10, 2015 @ 1:39pm
Also played at PAX (a few times). Works best when you are in the same room to see your opponent struggling with physics as much as you are. Browser version works fine for me and will be passing it on.

one of the most bizarre games I've ever seen...
but at first glance it seems a little boring , in my opinion would lack cries of pain or at least one music matching ( ? I voted and good luck
Asmodean Nov 8, 2015 @ 3:35pm
Played it at PAX (came back a few times...) and had a hell of a time playing this game. Happily clicked 'yes' to greenlight, and I wish you all the best of luck getting your game on the official store.

As I said to you on the showroom floor, would love to see a movie of the fight at the end which can be sped up, slowed down, exported, etc. Would also be good for advertising the game as the youtube community would really grab a hold of it.

@Bad*Liquid Just uploaded a version that allocates less memory. How is it for you now?
James Mck Nov 5, 2015 @ 10:05pm

Skipper Nov 4, 2015 @ 9:43am
Is it me or texture of katana is taken from happy wheels?
Kozo Nov 4, 2015 @ 3:28am
Played this at PAX. Actually one of the best times I've ever had playing a video game. Consider this game already bought by me.
Blaec Nov 3, 2015 @ 10:41pm
Played this at PAX, was brilliant. I laughed the most playing this game at PAX and it was probably even the most fun I had a PAX even including all the AAA games.

Can't wait till this is out, should be the ultimate game to put on when you have people gathered around your computer.
Answers to Questions
All body parts cause damage, so punching and kicking will work.

The version on was updated on Monday night to fix a bug that Kew found in weapon selection so the WebGL version is now slightly better than the one you all played at PAX.

My son chose the name and likes it still, so we are going to fight to move 'Rivalry' higher on the Google index :)

Before PAX I told Kew that he should listen to suggestions and that there will probably be a few common ones that people ask for and he should let that drive the priority for the game. Overwhelmingly recording and playback of the game was the #1 asked for feature. He was thinking of adding this before but your feedback has pushed this to the top of the list.

ZOMGBBQ!, thank you everyone so very much for your great positive comments. I started collating answers to everyone's questions and individual "thank-yous" but with all the love flowing into comments it got out of hand pretty quickly. So this is addressed to everyone!

The best part of PAX for us was you, the people who kept coming back with friends laughing, shouting, cheering and expressing your love of the game.

Was great meeting all you wonderful Rivalry fans! It has been amazing to watch you in forums praising the game!

It was fantastic playing this at PAXAus - something my friends and I will remember for sure. Hope you get Greenl-lit; all the best with your future in gaming development!:happy_creep:

philippe.elsass Nov 3, 2015 @ 6:32am
Play it and you'll understand that it's a brilliant concept. It really is immediate fun.
NonPotableWater Nov 3, 2015 @ 1:41am
Favorite game of PAX AUS, couldn't pass by without giving it another round. Definite buy for me!
Dedge Nov 2, 2015 @ 11:25pm
Played this at the indies stand of PAXAU. Bloody brilliant. I've never seen such a basic concept surrounded with so many people laughing their arses off. People were playing this multiple times and waiting for another turn. The flexy stick figure physics make duels hilarious, please don't refine this aspect too much or you'll kill half of the appeal.
Branwen Nov 2, 2015 @ 9:06pm
Played this at PAXAUS 2015 3 times, got better every time. Great concept, autopurchase for me as soon as it hits steam even in its current state. With an art upgrade? Double sold.
PooFeet Nov 2, 2015 @ 9:00pm
i get bushido blade feels when i play this!
studace Nov 2, 2015 @ 6:59pm

Lepus Melba Nov 2, 2015 @ 4:01pm
Best game of PAX for me. Will pay to dick-stab friends again. Nice work.
IvanEBC Nov 2, 2015 @ 2:13pm
Yeah, some other company was doing some "what's the best game at Pax" comp, i voted this game over all the AAA i saw.
IvanEBC Nov 2, 2015 @ 2:12pm
The line up was huge at Pax, didn't even get to play it, but you know, the amount of laughter and even tears coming down peoples faces from some of those endings, SOLD! Good work Kid! Bright future coming
[DoF] Oddie Nov 2, 2015 @ 5:31am
This was nuts at PAX!!! so much fun. TAKE MY MONEY!!!
Greg Nov 2, 2015 @ 2:32am
Played at PAX and it was awesome. Sent some money to the page. Would buy on Steam, especially if it comes with multiplayer.
Old Man Winter Nov 2, 2015 @ 2:02am
Played it at PAX and then went off to grab every person who would listen to come and play. With Fallout 4 and everything else there this was my favourite thing at PAX hands down.
Ragnarmarkos Nov 2, 2015 @ 12:26am
Played this at PAX. Awesome. Very impressed would love to see it released
Ro Nov 2, 2015 @ 12:25am
Had a play of this at PAX Aus and honestly one of the highlights. I can see this being super fun playing with friends. To be 14 years old and creating fantastic exciting and unique games like this, keep on going! I hope this gets greenlit! You have my vote.
deathwish Nov 1, 2015 @ 10:55pm
I got a chance to get hands on with this at PAX and I HAD to come vote yes on this.
They're looking around $3 for the pricepoint, and it's up there with Nidhogg for 2 player versus shenanigans. You control your character one body part at a time, momentum is a factor, depth of weapon penetration comes into play, and when you're sword and boarding there's so much strategy involved. You can disable limbs, remove them, and if you manage to get your strike perfect, you can take out oyur opponent in one hit. To be fair, when I did that I'd spent 6 rounds or more getting into position and had copped some minor blows, but the satisfaction of that decapitation stayed with me.
PooFeet Nov 1, 2015 @ 10:02pm
just played the build on after hearing about it at pax and was having a wicked time instantly. game is fun as is but if this had some online play at some point i'd pay more than $10 for sure. nice job!
monolith Nov 1, 2015 @ 8:16pm
My son and I both played this at PAXAus 2015 and it was our go-to game for the two and a bit days we were there. Simple, but with depth and a load of fun. Did I meantion it was fun? :-)
It was also fantastic to see a 14-year old making the effort to turn his game designing dreams into reality. A great example for my own son and I wish you the best Kew. Whatever creative path you eventually go down, I am sure it will be a rewarding one, not based on luck, but on hard work and vision.
BananaMoose Nov 1, 2015 @ 8:07pm
Played this at PaxAus, it was definitley a highlight of the show! It was great getting to talk to Kews' father who showed complete dedication to his son and his game. Highly recommend this game!
Kobrakahn Nov 1, 2015 @ 7:58pm
Don't be fooled by the simplistic graphics, this game is insanely fun and gave me and my friends at Pax alot of laughs.
CaptainCasbah Nov 1, 2015 @ 7:32pm
Played at Pax, ridiculous fun.
