I would download the mod but it takes a while and I'm not willing to wait like 15 minutes to then wait another 15 minutes

Why is this mod not all over the place? Years old, works absolutely perfectly. All buildings and networks use my 'Chosen Trees' now. Only have to change the free standing chees by hand..
If anyone is like me, not planning on changing trees manually on every single asset, but you hate vanilla trees, this is the way to go wihout performance drop. It's just code.

For anyone wondering: In the xml file it registers EVERY tree you've got, including your custom assets. You can copy the name from there and change the vanilla tree in your custom asset. Any assets you don't want to replace; just leave them be.

'open the configuration file/restart game...' so, it changes the trees of every type of road which have trees at once ? Not a single piece of road with trees ?

Okay, seen your replies. Apparently, already have that. Also, I got Snowfall to couple with that and Winter Buildings Unlocker so I can periodically turn those service buildings on and off between gaming sessions.

Hi. I really love this mod but when I reinstalled my mods, this one didn´t work anymore :( By that I mean that it is no longer showing up whenever I am placing a road.
What should I do to fix this or can this be fixed? Thanks :)

Network Skins doesn't remove the trees from buildings afaik.

This mod served a high purpose, getting rid of any and all vanilla trees from your city.

If anyone is wanting an update to this mod, you're out of luck. Use "Network Skins" , it's basically this mod with a whole bunch of other things added in.

This mod sadly doesn't seem to work with Natural Disasters.

Hope it gets an updated version in the future, though I know you're busy boformer and this probably isn't as popular as your other mods however I can't stand the vanilla trees and bushes.

@ExoticParallel I had the same issue, it turned out that the European Buildings Unlocker by BloodyPenguin caused it. If you have that try turning it off.

@boformer Anyone else complained about European Buildings Unlocker? BP's detouring a lot of stuff in there, like NetCollection, so the issue may be there.
Anyways keep up the good work with your excellent mods!

No. A mod which replaces all trees works completely differently, and there is no way to control the rotation and dirt placement of single tree assets without a LOT of effort.

A "placed tree replacer" will just modify your save file, so all trees you placed in the map editor or ingame will be replaced.

I think Judazzz is planning to make a TreeController mod that will replace this mod, maybe he will also integrate the "placed tree replacer"

Do you think that you can update this mod (obsolete since Network Skins) for to make that?
Can I suggest 3 options for each replacement model?
- removeOriginalTree
- removeUglyDirtUnderTree
- RandomTreeRotation (a way to answer at several requests expressed in the comments of Random Tree Rotation Mod...)

And if you could also add props with the same options...

that's kind of difficult.

You have to download ModTools, go ingame, select the tree you want the name of.

Now open the mod tools scene explorer with CTRL + E,

on the left navigate to Tool Controller > TreeTool

on the right, find the fiel "m_prefab".

It will tell you the name, which looks like this: 12365435.SomeTree_Data

A mod that can replace all trees on a map would be useful. Like if I really like a custom map someone has made but I want different trees on it. It's a pain replacing them all manually haha. Great mod though.

I unsuscribed for a while to this mod but today I tried to use it again and had the same issue. I then deleted the .xml file to get another one created, but I get exactly the same error and the mod doesn't load (xml created). This is the error:

Is this mod working on 1.3 boformer? I just manged to load my save for the first time after the updated, having removed non-compatible mods etc, and I get an error when loading that mentions this mod. I know this is mostly obsolete due to your other great mod, which I also use, but I like being able to replace trees in parks etc using this mod. Are you aware of compatibility problems? Are you planning to keep this updated? Would you like me to send you my log? I'm able to play despite the error message, no major issues, but the trees aren't replaced at all so it doesn't seem to work. Thanks for your time!
