:( this could have been glorious.
FAKKIST Aug 3, 2024 @ 1:02pm
This mod crashid my game before i placed Grav-Tube Ejector... I sad...
dragonsphotoworks May 3, 2021 @ 9:05pm
Now if keen would fix the train track block id have both of my transportation needs done
Epsilon May 3, 2021 @ 8:58pm
@dragonsphotoworks - Amazingly, this does indeed work. Not bad for a 6 year old mod. :V

What I need out of this is something that dampens acceleration rather than reversing gravity - I flip over in the tube when I do the "catching" fields and bonk my head half the time. <_<
dragonsphotoworks May 1, 2021 @ 7:16pm
So this mod still works with current game edition? I have the warfare DLC. If this works i can use this instead of the crazy system i have to use now lol

@surprisinator All of the powered blocks in this mod are just reskinned gravity generators, and the caps are just a way of closing off tube openings with something that can add an another overlapping field. It was useful when making Grav cannons were a thing and you wanted lots of overlapping fields for extra Gs, but not so much anymore.
dragonsphotoworks Apr 30, 2021 @ 4:52am
Ah ok i gotcha. Sounds interesting.
surprisinator Apr 30, 2021 @ 4:34am
like boosting velocity of a particle in the tube
surprisinator Apr 30, 2021 @ 4:31am
no, those caps have a purpose for his cannon concept, I read further below. not necessary for people transportation (if it worked at all)
dragonsphotoworks Apr 30, 2021 @ 4:20am
I believe thats what moves you?
surprisinator Apr 30, 2021 @ 4:03am
what is the purpose of gravcaps? are they essential for making transportation possible? I enter tube at transition tube block with a line of grav tubes ahead, settings as recommended, and nothing happens...
dragonsphotoworks Apr 28, 2021 @ 4:55pm
I would love if was updated as well. I have many uses for this :-)
Maison De Cornusiac Apr 28, 2021 @ 3:48am
anyone took this over and made it work in current SE version?
Thelegend5550 Mar 15, 2021 @ 6:51pm
critical error, not functioning
Greatheart Jul 18, 2020 @ 1:22am
Can confirm they do not work in planet gravity. :(
big_blue_4101 Jul 10, 2020 @ 10:08pm
can these things work in planet gravity?
local catgirl Feb 22, 2020 @ 10:23am
it doesnt show up in my mods list
0z1k  [author] Dec 27, 2019 @ 11:17pm
I have no objections
remethep Dec 27, 2019 @ 2:44am
Hm. If another modder wants to update this up to current standards, would that be OK with you?
Also, this is an awesome mod! 😊
0z1k  [author] Dec 6, 2019 @ 1:47am
Sorry, no updates planned.
SOBEK Dec 5, 2019 @ 8:44pm
Hi. You plan any update of textures , we have skins in game and on step 2020 year , its time for that. Last update is in 2015 , its a shame :))
0z1k  [author] Nov 13, 2019 @ 8:07pm
IIRC Durability is determined by component cost. The glass tube blocks should be comparable in cost to a vanilla gravity generator, but I'd start there.
Darmagon Nov 12, 2019 @ 5:55pm
or just how much of a beating can these take
Darmagon Nov 12, 2019 @ 5:55pm
How much pressure can these things handle? I just want to know before I blow open a tube trying to transport drones using smaller gravity cube drones.
0z1k  [author] Nov 7, 2019 @ 1:15pm
@Church.exe They are just another shape of gravity generator, meant to act as a "cap" for tube openings. They are for when you want to layer gravity fields in a tight space for making something like a gravity cannon (back when that worked) which is what the radar looking thing in the first image was.
Church.exe Nov 4, 2019 @ 6:10am
what are the caps for? in your first image you show like a radar looking thing but what would that actually do?
Rysten Aug 22, 2019 @ 9:39pm
Does this still work?
big_blue_4101 Jul 26, 2019 @ 12:06pm
or you could build a nifty elevator system. one tube going up, one going down. with appropriate openings at each deck.
χђєภ ಳ್oђรđαoภ Jun 4, 2019 @ 10:30am
hi guys, it means you can use grav tubes to craft an artillery gun can throw warheads ? :)
Weighted Sensory Kitty Nov 18, 2018 @ 2:42pm
I tried to make a gravity weapon with this that launches stones, however sadly keen has made it so items like that slow down quite fast, they went atleast 200m/s (or higher, player went 179 m/s with max gravity field extention through the front of the tube) and stopped about 1.45km away from the weapon :/
The Nameless Apr 18, 2018 @ 6:33pm
Sounds like all you need is a version of Explosives that blows up when it hits stuff. Unlike regular explosives, which only blow up if you shoot them. If you had that, and a no-speed-limit mod, you could put the business end of a connector set up next to the entry point for the grav tube and use it to launch explosives out of your gravity cannon. Of course you'd have to load it manually, making sure to put a single unit of Explosives in every inventory slot, or you'd go through your supply in a hurry. :P Maybe using an inventory script would... I'm rambling. But I've talked myself into subscribing and trying this out someday. Even though explosives crates only blow up when shot.
Pear Mar 8, 2018 @ 6:00pm
the mod doesn't work for me
ibfolk2c Feb 24, 2018 @ 12:52pm
you could just use static tubes for the majority of the tube, and its less expensive
0z1k  [author] Jan 15, 2018 @ 8:16pm
Something to keep in mind for really long tubes, if the acceleration your under is constant, you will end up going fast enough for a fatal impact. So you either need to stagger the fields, or have a reverse field to 'catch' you at the reciving end. Good luck!
Towze Jan 15, 2018 @ 10:44am
checklist for this mod:

1 make station with rotated platforms and link them with this mod

2 make realy long tube

3 make maze

4 lanch rocks like missiles
0z1k  [author] Nov 12, 2017 @ 7:31pm
Make the tube however you want. Set the field size for every dimension to 2.5m, and make sure the enterance piece is a little longer so it will "suck you in". Make sure to make gravity fields visible to ensure everything is setup properly. Overlapping fields can mess with each other so watch for that. Does not work in a natural gravity well like a planet (only in space). If you have a long section of tube, dont make the field too strong, or make a reciving field to slow you down, or you will be accelerated into a corner and splat. GL/HF!
Maddus_ Nov 10, 2017 @ 6:07pm
How do I use this as a personell transporter?
0z1k  [author] Oct 26, 2017 @ 12:20pm
Ive personally moved on from SE so I dont even have it installed anymore. Just experiment and have fun with it!
AKUA_TSUBASA Oct 26, 2017 @ 10:24am
Could we get together sometime so we can tryout ideas cuz idk how to do it.:steamhappy:
0z1k  [author] Oct 25, 2017 @ 8:18pm
As much as Id like to to fill that particicular gap, we could make an angled block, but not and angled gravity field, (we tried with the GravWalk). You would need to change the angle of the graviyt feild in game anyways so it was just never practical.

Maybe try something with spherical generators and grav-caps. ^.^
AKUA_TSUBASA Oct 24, 2017 @ 2:56pm
Can you make angled peices so I can make a circular partical accelerator, please.:steamhappy:
Speed demon Sep 4, 2017 @ 3:01pm
The grav tubr gives me a good idea for using those with escape pods.
0z1k  [author] Mar 14, 2017 @ 5:36pm
Yes.
Fonfon Mar 14, 2017 @ 6:58am
Hmm so can those tubes be used as railgun? :3
Dariorthan Feb 23, 2017 @ 11:16am
they do, but only to a certain degree
Aryx Feb 23, 2017 @ 10:16am
I've used this for my waste disposal units in my base. Shame gravity generators don't work in planets.
0z1k  [author] Feb 16, 2017 @ 10:58pm
Sorry, we've both moved on to other projects and have no plans on making any further changes.
big_blue_4101 Feb 16, 2017 @ 10:27am
hey, i like this mod, but was wondering if it could be made usable on small block as well. think it would make for a good makeshift turbolift system.
0z1k  [author] Jan 21, 2017 @ 1:19am
Enjoy!
Shonnas Jan 20, 2017 @ 5:03am
Can't belive i missed this ,,, looks like a basis for my Grav cannon ! thanks for the effort
