This mod would be good if only the animation wasn't messed with and was the ORIGINAL L4D1 animation was perfect before updated by author

I think you forgot to animate the Ulna joints on the "reaching-out" animations. Same goes for the reload animations used for the Shotguns; the arms still twist.

For the most part, I like it. The only thing I've noticed is that the firing animation is very twitchy.

I must ask actually, would you maybe consider working on the older betal animations if it was possible in the future? I understand that this type of thing takes a good amount of work, what messing around with old and new rigs and what not, but I think it'd be an interesting and cool option. Just a suggestion I had in mind. although if there's a better place to put this, tell me

Unless you expect garbage TF2ish animations or weapons that are in a generic "CLOSE IN YER FACE THING", but they look fine to me.

If you're all fine with this version's turnout, I will move onto the next set when I have time.

I've had a recent change of heart in how to go with all this - I will try to stay true to the old style of the first game.

I am a L4D1 purist, maybe not as extreme as some but even I think this is a huge improvement over the original. It's nice to be able to grip the weapons rather than having them clip or holding them with two fingers. (Lol M16) The viewmodels may not be EXACTLY as same as the original but to be honest L4D1 didn't have the more "realistic" way of holding them when looking around.

You aren't doing anything wrong, and you can't satisfy everyone, but from a L4D1 fanatic, I think this is great, and I'd love to see something like this with the scope guns if you ever get the chance. Thanks Rocky. :)

Love the new firing animations. I guess the only problem people had with the origin being changed was that it was inconsistent with the rest of the set i.e. shotguns and SMGs but I like what you've done so far. Keep up the good work!

I will update the set shortly, a 2.1 if you will. Its been modified to try and support the original L4D1 origin position, but if I stretch the skeleton any further the survivors are going to have spaghetti alien arms.

I'm trying my best folks, the reason I even came back to doing this was because of all the requests I got ever since first putting these out. Now I'm being told to undo everything, and its not a fun feeling; The L4D1 community is giving me conflicting requests and I don't know what people want from me.

Rocky, it nice to see you are trying to improve the anims to work with the l4d2 rigs, but the reality and truth is, l4d1 viewmodels are better, they are not attached to your screen and feel more flexible. i think you really should not update the other ones to l4d2 style, and maybe create us the scar and ak-47 on the l4d1 version viewmodels. You get better ratings and you know what, i bet everyone here agrees with me, that a gun pointing from your ear is kinda dumb.

It was neccesary to prevent the clavicles from clipping into the screen in the old way. I know I can't please everyone, but that's why I releaed the source files.

Truly a stellar job, Rocky. The only complaint I have is the placement of the fingers in first person: they stick out too long. If you could, could you hide the fingers with the handguard on all the rifles?

Is it even possible to fix the hand placement so it's not floaty? I saw an old video that showed a mod that put the these anims in the game and the hands didn't float on the guns, but that was back when these mods only worked on local servers and the shotgun reload flickered.
