Happy to hear those wholesome stories! :-) Thank you for adopting the orphans!
Yes, actually! That would be a great addition!
Sought out this mod while watching the husband and new father of a newborn teaching the new girl at the very desk he built to use with his birth daughter one day. Was too sweet, wanted to officialise it.
Since I'm only adding relationships, that's something you should bring up with the Family Tree devs.

Yep, I had the same experience!
Sadly, it's not something I can fix. My mod is set up to be platonic, it's their mod that has a thing that overrides platonic relationships. Nothing I can do but advise to either not use that mod, or check their settings to see if they have a toggle.
That question has been answered in the description.
Happy to hear it works after all. :-) Enjoy!
If anything, that'd be an issue with your Character Editor / Prepare Carefully / whatever you are using, not with my mod.
Assuming you're using Character Editor, you likely have selected the male option for relationships to be added, so it only shows male options. Change it to female, and you'll only see female options.
Happy to help!
Abusive Relationships sounds funny but it's actually something I've been thinking about. A mod with negative relationships, that I didn't have a name for yet. Abusive Relationships might actually work, thanks for that hought bubble!
No, nothing is "automatic" in this mod, you have to add relationships in every direction manually.
Subbed, love the idea.
It will not unless you remove those manually yourself!
Platonic Relationships has been updated. :-)
and I love you for loving them! :D
Seems like that mod might override the default settings. That's on their end, not something I can account for.
Ooh, that is actually very cute! It would work better within Platonic Relationships, I think, but consider it added the next time I push an update!
If you don't mind the suggestion; What would you think about a kinda generic "adopted family" or "chosen family" with no boost or a boost similar to cousin or something small like that? I know you have the platonic relationships so maybe it'd work better there, just a small thing I though I'd suggest for different family styles.
I would like to, but I'm having trouble uploading mods to the Steam Workshop right now.
I will look into updating and fixing the error tomorrow!
I don't have 1.6 myself yet, so I can't test it myself - but as far as I know, this should not conflict with anything and should just work in 1.6.
Happy to see you've found it, but for others with the same question: you have to change the gender icon on top, of the window.
For this kind of mod, no.
Not at this time, that's more programming than I'm willing to invest.
Enjoy, thanks for adopting the orphans!
You can have as many adoptive relationships as you want, there are no limits in place!
And yes, there is a relationship boost based on the relationship so in that regard there are "gameplay effects", but nothing more complicated than that.
Also, I was curious: you say it is just a cosmetic mod, and I understand there are no gameplay differences like inheritances. But the relation causes increased platonic affection between the pawns, correct? That is all I am hoping for, just a "you're my special little found family on the Rim" type of adoptive family feeling. Thank you so much for this mod!
At this point in time, it's not implemented. It's just a visual roleplaying mod.
I haven't done any coding on this mod, but I'll keep this in mind for when I do.
That's okay, I should probably include some sort of tutorial on how to use Character Editor (but then again, that might be the CE devs' responsibility instead of mine).
My fault. Great mod, thanks
