Had a lot of fun playing this sponsor today. I like the backstory and the additional elements you've added. It added some personality to the game that it's quite honestly lacking. I just voted it up!

i think we need Jaffa, Goa'uld, Asgardian, and maybe even Wraith, the Knox and like, just like this, to get true immersion. Its awesome, dont get me wrong, but it would rock to conquer the replicators or what not. Either way thank you. Made the game worth the 49.99

I dig it mate, but I'd have to say that the SG Team should be more powerful. The squads that destroyed and alligned with hyper advanced alien races and tech should not be on par with some jerks with rifles wearing spaces suits in a non-hazardous environment.

Also, the orbital laser thing is very weak. It took me about 15 turns to kill the siege worm on my city's border. Perhaps you could buff it by giving a large bonus versus aliens (so it won't be too OP versus civs).

Finally, the M.A.L.P. is pretty lame. To improve it, ditch the +2 orbital range, and instead have it reveal, say, 20 tiles on the map around the first city. It's used for scouting new worlds, so why not have it increase sight around the first city? Afterall, why would a recon/supply drone increase orbital coverage?

Again, I love the concept of this mod! Maybe the other SG factions will be your next project?

Also, the SG Team isn't changed by explorer mods (1 extra movement range, 1 extra sight, scalable strength, etc.). I assume this is because the SG Team is a "new" unit that isn't encompassed in tweaks other mods make, which I understand, but the problem is they are inferrior to every other civ's explorers now. I should really find out how to mod myself, because that'd satisfy my needs without giving you more work. You may want to buff the team anyway, just because they are elite units.

Okay, I was drooling at this mod when I saw it, because I LOOOOOOVE the SG TV series (original movie was terrible regarding acting), but unfortunately I've run into some problems.
First and fore most, when Hammond is in AI control, he is incredibly hostile (without any provocation), which doesn't fit the lore of SG-1. He's more diplomat than agressive. I assume he's aligned with the Purity afinity (I was aligned with Harmony), and he starts scoffing at my military and colonial weakness (2 marines, 1 combat rover, 1 missle rover, and 2 cities before turn 100 on standard pace seems pretty good, IMHO), and he became hostile withing 10 turns of landing (on the other side of a massive map). What gives?!

Condensed my post spam to facts: v5. Did some extensive tests. I like this mod a lot.
Mod system itself has bug making the game crash. Not this mod. This mod is xml correct.
Using mods in general can crash the game (per this writing).
When the game crashes and the unit order frame bottom left does not work, go to mod selection screen, change mod selection, back, change mod selection again, then load saved game.
There might be a stability issue with BaseSightRange.
I suspect that some (CivV) code may be present, but not (or not really) used any longer, giving modders the impression of functionality that is not viable in CivBE. My old 560TI might not like the big map mod.

I did have a problem with that earlier on in the mod when I was giving promotions to the SG unit the way Civ V did, I changed that up in a later update, and the problem (supposedly) went away.....have you updated to the latest version (v5)?

The only mods I've installed for this game have been mods that add new sponsers/leaders to the game.... Would that have anything to do with it?

SG Team should function as an explorer with much more combat strength, and the AG-3 Weapons System should be working correctly, at least it does in my game......not sure what could be wrong :(

**PROBLEM** I came across this right away. I used the USAF Stargate Command as my Sponders/Leaders and right away I can't use the SG team... Unless it doesn't actually function as a explorer as well as a marine unit then okay nothing wrong with them BUT when I selected the SpaceCraft option during my creation menu thingy and got the AG-3 Weapons System.... I couldn't do anything. Turn 1. Nothing. Can't skip past not being able to deploy the Weapons System but yet can't move on to next turn. I don't know if anyone else has come across this problem yet or if they have if they said something already.... I wanted to let you know though. I really love the SG Command idea for this game as a mod. I can't wait to see it's progression.
