I using bon te bok, i killed it by myself(mundane melee, flaming ray, electrical generation, sunder mind) or by enemy(with and without domination). Other companions(beguile and other) dies as usual with central notification and its duplicate in log. But bon-te-bok insted gets 2 log message "Bon te bok dies" and "you lost sight of bon te bok".

Yeah resurrection logic gets a bit hairy and it’s made worse by certain pets, eg Gloaming, that have weird “death” conditions. If people are encountering this bug frequently it would probably help to at least know a bit more about what pet was used / how they died.

It's not working for me either. My pet doesn't resurrect after death. While I was trying to figure out how the code works and fix it myself, I got the feeling the problem was one of two things. Either the pet protection code triggers after death, but before the message abouth that appears in the center of the screen, so there's no one left to save and record. Or it's somewhere in petRecords.cs

You've mentioned your definitive “find a follower who stepped into a space-time vortex or was otherwise lost” script. Is there any help on it? I lost my pet (asked to stay and when returned she wasn't there) but don't understand how to use this script. Appreciate your help

Hi y’all! I’d like to use the mod but I launched my saved game and it’s not in my inventory even though I enabled it in the mod menu. Is there a fix for that?

Love the mod. It sometimes stops working, Gru-wof-ufo got killed somehow with no chat log indicator they had died while I was in the caves. I found their equipment, comprised of weapons and armor, not just what was worn in their hands. I couldn't find the corpse for whatever reason and 100 days in game later I still cannot recall or revive them.

I find it weird because on my esper playthrough he will constantly get sucked into a vortex and I could recall him right back, but to no avail.

Re: the pets losing their natural equipment mutations, this IS kind of a base game bug but it fixes itself when leveling the mutation. This also means you probably should be able to run its Mutate() method at its current level to 'refresh' the mutations and bypass this bug.

A revived pet lost their carapace despite having the physical mutation.
Is there a way to have some kind of check that physical mutations are applied when they are revived?

ahhh that's what was happening! I thought it was maybe some weird interaction with normality gas, but yeah I now have three Gloamings aha. It's honestly funny, Gloaming is already pretty weird so duplication fits right in. (I think the third one happened yesterday but I can't say for sure, I'll update here if it happens again).

I've pushed a candidate fix for a bug with Companion's Pact involving Gloaming and Either/Or. Hopefully it should fix some issues with those pets getting duplicated by Companion's Pact, but let me know if you continue to run into issues.

I'm not sure what happened, but after moving from the local map to the world map and back (maybe?) companion's pact has "recalled" an intact Gloaming, and now I have two Gloamings.

oh I appreciate the offer, but I didn't lose them. I was just using the recall action to test the companion's pact. I'm not that far along, I think I'll just restart so I can use the pact. great mod, thanks!

for technical reasons it’s not really possible to enable this mod on a preexisting save, unfortunately.

did you lose your pet somewhere, is that why you’re trying to recall them? that’s a challenging problem to solve from a modding perspective but I happen to be the author of the definitive “find a follower who stepped into a space-time vortex or was otherwise lost” script: https://gist.github.com/kernelmethod/ebfef519d3c3eeecce9443cd43d082ad

Is there any way to tie this to a pet in an existing game? I am playing roleplay mode, and I added this mod some time after I started my current game. When I tried to use the recall action, it said I do not have a pet. (I have Man Opener.)

unfortunately this does not work as intended for official patreon pet Gloaming if it gets destroyed by null gas it can spawn a new duplicate when after the cooldown

Never mind, figured out what the issue was. Turns out I forgot one line of code.

Just released a new update, should start working correctly once you get updated to v0.2.1 of the mod. The update won't get rid of the resurrecting companions in your current save. Feel free to keep them if you enjoy having them around, but if you would like to get rid of them you should be able to use the `obliterate` wish to permanently destroy them.

Oh hmm, that’s not supposed to be happening. Actually I’m a little confused about how that could be possible; are the beguiled minions clones of your original pet or just some creatures you encountered in the world?

Thanks for the mod. Not sure if this is intended: it seems to be resurrecting multiple beguiled minions that have died, not just my pet. It is resurrecting them all at the same time, usually in a town. They respawn and sometimes become hostile again (I guess cause they're no longer beguiled).

Also, not sure how this next part happened but I now have four different pets at once after they were resurrected. Is that normal? One is my actual pet, the other three are "friendly" past beguiled minions. It's a fun quirk for now but I can see this snowballing.
