Good to know, thank you!
DuckGoosebear PrairieDogLover Nov 25 @ 12:57am
I did try this in 1.6 and got no errors, settings worked, gameplay appears to work??? Interesting to say the least!
Daniel  [author] Nov 3 @ 11:16pm
At some point, yes.
Medi3val Nov 3 @ 3:56pm
Will you update this to 1.6?
does it work in 1.6?
tomcat.bird Jul 30 @ 1:19am
I neeed it to build empire
Faller Jul 27 @ 5:34am
Literally unplayable without my canon 250% ageing speed. :yygSad:
Waiting patiently for the update.
Daniel  [author] Jul 12 @ 6:54am
I will do it myself, no worries. In the meantime, the vanilla difficulty setting allow up to 400% aging for children
Teemo Jul 12 @ 5:07am
Do you have a github for this mod? I can take a look at it if it doesn't just work in 1.6, I love this mod. Children age far too slowly lol
Daniel  [author] Jul 12 @ 12:17am
It is planned, but I'm very tight on time right now. I *will* do it, I just can't promise it in the next two weeks.
thorman123456789 Jul 12 @ 12:13am
Is an update for 1.6 planned?
Teemo Jun 27 @ 6:38am
Have you tried this out in 1.6 yet?
Daniel  [author] May 3 @ 1:40pm
@VitaKaninen There are independent settings for each growth stage. I don't remember on top of my head if 13-18 is one of those, but if it is, there's a slider for you to adjust the growth rate.
VitaKaninen May 3 @ 12:55pm
I am looking to specifically increase the aging from 13-18. Does this mod allow for that?
Nick Molliger Feb 26 @ 7:25am
Dude, you made it the best way by allowing to change any rates! :3
I equalized every aging rate to 300%, so my rim world is now just a planet, where one year equals three earth's.
No magical accelerated maturation for children, just the harsh sci-fi reality. :steamhappy:
Daniel  [author] Jan 24 @ 8:15am
It's safe to add and to remove mid-save.
aZeRob126 Jan 24 @ 7:34am
Would adding this mod into a save cause any issues?
Suspumpkin/bonejokeguy Dec 27, 2024 @ 2:27pm
but it is? in storyteller settings.
King Dec 4, 2024 @ 1:15pm
I'm mad that this isnt in the base game. I'm going to have to remake my colony since my 1 year old baby is 4 years old before the first year is over. What an immersion breaking joke.
Fane Aug 21, 2024 @ 6:19am
This mod is a must have. In original game, the parents are just 25, the kids already reach 18. 💀
Турбокишмиш May 4, 2024 @ 10:49pm
And how is this work? Where the settings?
Solorah Apr 23, 2024 @ 6:35pm
Thank you so much @Daniel !!!
Daniel  [author] Apr 21, 2024 @ 11:58am
@Solorah your additional growth point modifier is added. You can find it in the mod settings. Have fun!
Solorah Apr 18, 2024 @ 2:17pm
Awesome, thank you <3
Daniel  [author] Apr 18, 2024 @ 7:43am
Yeah no worries, won't be a lot of work. Will likely do that this weekend.
Solorah Apr 18, 2024 @ 7:39am
@Daniel I would appreciate that if it's not too much trouble. If it is, I can see about learning to mod and figuring it out for myself. No hard feelings, you're amazing and I've loved this mod since I've had it. <3
Daniel  [author] Apr 17, 2024 @ 11:08pm
@Solorah as of 1.5, the growth tier points are tied to the aging rate of this mod. Before, they were still tied to the storyteller settings - so your kids should already be getting more points if you're aging them faster now. Should I still add another modifier in mod settings?
Solorah Apr 17, 2024 @ 8:52pm
Hello, thank you for updating to 1.5! Would it be possible to add a growth tier point multiplier?

I may be dumb and that's already an option somewhere?

I was originally using this mod to guarantee that all my younglings reached max growth tier before aging, even if for example they were adopted at 6 years old.
Daniel  [author] Apr 12, 2024 @ 3:40pm
Update to 1.5
Also, Growth Tier Points now scale with aging rate, so your children will advance growth tiers at the same relative speed as their biological age.
Good Student Apr 7, 2024 @ 12:44pm
hello 1.5 please thank you i hate babies
Casual Bird Feb 19, 2024 @ 3:38pm
This is great! I hope it lets you set aging rates below 100%. I also hope to find a version that lets me adjust the age rates of all life in the game
mado Nov 28, 2023 @ 7:05pm
@Order_of_Dusk
I understand. However, adding more animals seems to have a slight effect on performance.

@mado it says in the description that it only affects humans...
mado Nov 18, 2023 @ 9:38pm
This mod also affect animals?
Garlic Sep 16, 2023 @ 9:27am
Overriding the vanilla storyteller setting means it doesn't work with other tweaks for vanilla storytellers or custom/mod storytellers?
NotTerriBerri Jun 26, 2023 @ 7:48am
Lol, you got me day one on a weeks holiday and i'm actually going to give it a go I guess xD
Daniel  [author] Jun 25, 2023 @ 11:38am
@NotTerriBerri That's actually an awesome idea, and you haven't asked before. However, I would want to make that a separate mod - And I've already got a very long list of mods to make, and very little time. Maybe you can try it yourself?
NotTerriBerri Jun 20, 2023 @ 4:56am
Hiya are you able to add a growth tier? Was wondering if you would consider adding an 'old age' so I can bump off my pensioners quicker in my generational play through? Also I feel like I've asked you this before and you said no so ignore me if so lol!
Catch Lightning Apr 7, 2023 @ 5:13pm
Commander if you set it to 6x in storyteller and 4x in aging controls they will learn at 6x but age at 4x. It won't multiply them.
Catch Lightning Apr 7, 2023 @ 5:12pm
Commander. Better children learning and Children School and Learning help. Also take kids off of hauling except for loading and unloading ingredients. It wastes a ton of their time. CSL can mandate learning in class.

Also try TV is educational for injured kids.
Catch Lightning Apr 7, 2023 @ 5:10pm
What's the default for 13-18?

Also Void rep. Try Toddlers if your issue is that babies suck.
A V.O.I.D Representative Feb 20, 2023 @ 5:09pm
can you make a mod that changes the age pawns are born at plz
Captain_Tess Feb 19, 2023 @ 1:53pm
I wish there was a mod that makes children reach growth tiers faster, I have aging at x16 rate in total, and children cannot seem to get higher than tier 3, which means they don't get passions
Daniel  [author] Feb 9, 2023 @ 4:14am
@Pinenuts by default, children do are quicker than adults. Adults age one biological day per day. You can adjust the aging rate for both in the storyteller settings.

All this mod does is give you more fine-grained control over the aging rate.
Pinenuts Feb 9, 2023 @ 4:02am
I have a question. The base game makes babies to grow faster than adult pawns do? I felt something wrong when new-born babies became 7 when it was just the year of 5506 which totally makes nonsense. Is it only for babies or adults also get that weird aging rate?
Daniel  [author] Dec 26, 2022 @ 1:39pm
Huh, that's interesting. My mod doesn't interact with the age itself at all. The only thing it changes are the biological ticks per tick. So if there's a difference in age at time of generation, that's not on me
Tinda Dec 26, 2022 @ 1:34pm
Thanks for your reply. That stat is indeed 1. I noticed it's not necessarily a drift per se. It's just that all the kids are two days older than they are biologically. I noticed it when one of them suddenly hit 8 years old chronologically, but was still 7 (and almost a whole year) biologically. Maybe it's something to do with when they spawned? I've had this mod installed for all of my current playthrough, and the kids were spawned for that quest where you take in a group of survivors. The adults that spawned with them are not 2 days older than themselves, though.
Daniel  [author] Dec 26, 2022 @ 9:27am
You can turn on Dev mode, go to the health tab of your colonists and hover over the age display. You'll get a tooltip that shows you debug details on your colonist's age, including the "biological ticks per tick" stat. Compare those between adults and children: they should both be 1. If they're not, there's an incompatibility with another mod.
Tinda Dec 26, 2022 @ 8:06am
I set all of the aging to 100% exactly, because it bugged me that chronological age and biological age of children was different. However there still appears to be some drift between the two?
It's not fast, but it is occuring. Any idea why?
Catch Lightning Dec 13, 2022 @ 11:46pm
Growth stages are 3-7 then 7-10...

Also how does this interact with their learning rates. Since that value is adjusted by the storyteller child aging rate setting. All my kids were hitting max learning a "year for them" early.
