@isky, sorry for annoying you about heli dust again, but looks like the bigger a heli is the more chance of dust to appear. Also, wanna say your blastcore work is one of the best imho. Very FPS friendly and pretty cool fxs.

@isky particles are on high level. Smoke is big, but it doesn't affect AI vision. Heli dust works, yep, but time by time, 50% chance.

@LynX13 What are your particle quality settings at? that could be why ur not seeing bigger smokes and the helicopter dust effects.

Yep, man. This mod has nice effects, it's lightweight and almost 100% friendly to PC resources, but:

1. helicopter dust is 50% chance of happening (may be even lower). Usually, it just doesn't happen
2. smoke grenades are weak, but if deleting vanilla_smoke.pbo from the folder, smoke is waaay bigger, but AI can clearly look right through this smoke. Doesn't affect bots vision at all

I think these are two most critical bugs I found while using this mod. Sooo... we need an update so badly, haha

@HappyRooster007 Update is uhhhhhhhhh probably nothing soon to be frank, i've discovered SO many problems with every version of blastcore that will need fixed. As for differences, i prioritize balancing performance AND visual fidelity.

25/30/35/40mm cannon in IFV or APC has a same explosion effects. Only 40mm auto grenade launchers or grenade launcher on assault rifles has different explosion effects.

@Henry Walker Dont think ive ever seen that if the mods on server i would remove it, like mentioned in previous comments its client side. Issues like damage arent related to this, ive done a pretty decent amount of missions with this loaded and havent ever had a thing like that happen.

For some reason this mod overriding damage of most weapons, like, i'm using HFD Bombs that makes greater explosion radius for most bombs, but when this Blastcore installed bombs acting like their warheads filled with paper

This is a client-side mod, this mod doesn't need to be (and shouldn't) be on your server. The only thing your server needs is the key from this mod in the keys folder on your server so that players can choose to use this mod or not.

Hey there, getting this when hosting on a server. Have copied files half a dozen times and repaired workshop items ect.

I agree with Isky. The plug and play nature of the mod makes it great. A final patch with all the fixes and optimizations you can add would be great thou. An area that could be potentially improved if the .PBO files are separated for each different effect and that way players and easily remove some optional stuff but other than that the mod is already perfect basically.

WIth the latest A3 patch there is no performance impact whatsoever.

@black_fire the big part of why people like this mod is because it’s plug and play with little to no issues outside of things I’ve already addressed. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it, if you get what I mean. Even then I have a billion other things that I work on in a day so I don’t have the time to focus on older stuff as much as I used to.

I think it would be cool to add more flexible settings for effects, and also optimize the explosions of technology, this is one of the biggest problems of the mod. I also noticed that some tank shells don't have explosion effects.

@Valmont the bullet impacts come from the core PBO which is required to run. So unfortunately its one or the other but you can probably get away with running both if it doesnt break anything

Hey I've noticed a bug with the RHS Mk19, it has the like 82/120mm explosion sfx whilst the Russian AGS has the regular grenade sfx, any chance this could be fixed? Thanks!

Favor performance? GREAT! Is there a list of things that are reduced to fix the performance? I'm been looking to get a version with only explosions because I assume its most bullet hits that cause lag right?

@LynX13 Yeah i had drafted up a very deep edit of the splendid smoke mod and i kinda went overboard so i ended up utilizing a different from scratch setup and it seems to have broke itself, will post an update removing that PBO shortly. Again, thanks very much bro.

@isky, yep, the reason to delete it was I like this mod but hate weak smoke grenade effect. Tried to delete that file "vanilla_smoke" and, whoa, magic happened! Tbh the smoke grenades are too damn powerful now (and I like it more than weak ones).

Btw, when deleting "vanilla_smoke.pbo" file, the helicopter dust is always working and smoke from smoking grenades is waaay dense and extensive!

@OksmanTV Some particles are locked behind quality values(eg; to see more particles you have to turn ur settings up) having limited particles on screen keeps frames and visual quality up. Which sounds weird but it works really well lol.

Could you elaborate on how this saves performance? I've been looking around for an explosions only Blastcore, as I think bullet hits and that is what causes most FPS drops?
