@Tel_Arin: Thank you for the headsup! :selike: You are in fact right about the dependency being not loaded correctly :sefacepalm:- I just checked for myself (https://imgur.com/a/xyZ6ZF7) but got no error-message/prompt regarding unsupported characters. Will test furter in the comming days...

hello, i just tested this planet and i don't think the game is loading the dependencies as it just spawns a flat topography, the game also gives a prompt about unsupported characters in the name.

@Choo_Choo_Oreo: Not sure what you mean... This literally is a world preset and besides the single listed dependency no mods are needed. Just start the world, save, go back to main menu, load game, edit settings of your save, slap on the mods you would like to add (e.g. speedmod etc.) and you are good to go.
Choo_Choo_Oreo 30. nov. 2024 kl. 22:45
Is there a world preset with all the mods in place?

Man, I thought I creating 1000km diameter vanilla pertam for a nomad gameplay is crazy enough...

@[JSF] Nightspeedy: As mentioned below there is or at least was a 1.270km diameter earth like planet on the workshop. I can't find it anymore with reasonable effort... might have been taken down by the creator...

Hey man, do you happen to know of any more planet mods that are way too big to be playable?
Tobi Five  [ophavsmand] 18. jan. 2024 kl. 5:14
@vdioda: Hi vdioda, got little to no time atm - so it's a no unfortunately. But there is a 1.270km diameter earth-like planet on the workshop afaik. Maybe that will suit your needs.
vdioda 16. jan. 2024 kl. 7:47
Hi, can you make earthlike too?

@Barn: Great (and a bit of a relieve tbh). I already thought about scaling the planet down to prevent the unloading and maybe adding different biomes but I haven't found time in month to dive back into the config files and wrap my head around the neccessary calculations. I also think a custom moon or two and/or an asteroid field/ring to accompany the planet might be nice but that's just too much to do right now. Maybe in winter I'll find the time for a Pertam 3.0.
Barn 6. aug. 2023 kl. 1:57
Thank you for your response, I've found them :)
I was also wondering if you were interested in making a 1-2k diameter version, which would substantially help with issues that arise from a planet this massive in-game.
Aside from the unloading of the planet sometimes, currently terrain in mountainous regions unload in the view of the player, causing the terrain to sort of "wrap around" the player, making for a dizzying experience. I assume the only real way to fix this would be either increasing view distance past the limits of the game settings or masking this effect with the curvature of the planet. I've tried increasing the view distance to 250km but this has resulted in the planet unloading.
Still, I love huge planets for SE, especially with real orbits, and I think this concept should be further explored.

@Barn: Yes there should be spawns for ores but they might be relatively sparse/have larger distances between them.
Barn 5. aug. 2023 kl. 14:31
Does the mod spawn ores?
GuiltySpark 9. okt. 2022 kl. 9:34
Yeah, basically it loads it into your Rapid Access Memory or RAM so whenever you move to another part of the planet it pulls it from your ram and loads it there. Since this map is huge it requires a large amount of RAM.
Mr.camo pants 29. aug. 2022 kl. 5:23
This is honestly super dope it should be in the base game
Tobi Five  [ophavsmand] 27. aug. 2022 kl. 3:17
@Mr.camo pants: thank you as well! There is literally GBs of heightmap-data that gets compressed into the .vw2-file of the planet during generation and that has to be stored/extracted to your RAM in some way I guess...
Mr.camo pants 26. aug. 2022 kl. 8:47
This is awesome why does it require so much ram tho is it due to the size?

@ArSole: thank you, sir! Will do! Make sure to check out the latest update. Atmo is now much more beautiful and there are no longer glitches/tringles popping in while walking on the surface.
ArSole 21. aug. 2022 kl. 20:33
About time we got some decent bigger planets! keep it up dude!
