Is there a conversion for Skyrim SE for this mod? I installed Skyrim SE 2 weeks ago and i severly miss it. I am so thrilled with this story, that i probably stay with my old Skyrim only because I cannot play it in SE. It really makes me sad, that so many of my favorite mods are gone now :(

I have yet to finish this storyline but it was pretty good and felt pretty organic with the overall TES lore! Great job :steamthumbsup:

it's a great mod. The only problem is when we go to his closet for attack on de embassy. When we arrive there, he doesn't respond anymore. What can i do about this?

mproved spouse features. While following, Pelin continues to address the Player with terms of affection. Pelin also leaves gifts of poems and flowers. erm how do i trigger that part?

i have a question i just got back into this game and started a whole new playthru. has the big hole been fixed yet i really enjoyed this mod but had to revert to an earlier save way back after uninstalling the mod.

First of all great mod!
On the new playthrough with a new character I noticed that Pelin's journal conflicts with (overwrites or replaces) Arondil's journal (from a thief guild's quest given by vekel).
You are in Yngvild and the quest marker points to journal 3 but the book that is there, is actually Pelin's.
Usually, I will do the Thieves quests first, so it never happened before. Right now, as a workaround, I will just deactivate the quest until I am done with the thieves.

I'm really loving this mod! But I'm having the same problem as MerektheJusticiar, where the mannequins don't stay put and have no armor (at least I assume the ones in the display room with Pelin's sword are supposed to have armor of some kind).

@Skjuhn Cruh - This version of the mod doesn't support using Varlais Hall for a family home -- only for the player character and Pelin. To include children, you'd need the Hearthfire edition of the mod (available separately), but switching now won't be possible if you already played through with this one. These two mods are not interchangable once started due to the way Steam requires different mod file names in the Workshop and how the game engine loads mods (and mod game objects). If you do want to switch to the Hearthfire edition at this point, you will need to restart from a save before you did anything in this version. You may run into a conflict with Bless Home and the Hearthfire edition -- I haven't tested them together.

@Skjuhn Cruh - That type of behavior usually happens when NPCs are stuck in an AI behavior package. I suggest trying this:
(1) Press the tilda (~) key to go into console mode. Click on Pelin to select him. Type "resetAI" (no quotes). Press the tilda key again to exit console mode. If that didn't fix the issue, go to step 2.
(2) Press the tilda key to go into console mode. Click on Pelin to select him. Type "recycleactor" (no quotes). Press the tilda key again to exit console mode.
IMPORTANT : these commands force the NPC to exit its current state and may have an unexpected result. I advise not saving until you've confirmed that Pelin is working correctly.

@21st Century Sichizoid Man - It's possible that a mod affecting the Basin just outside Whiterun is causing the problem. There's an issue with my mod where terrain objects there are linked to the Valley's terrain objects (the object IDs are different, and the Basin wasn't selected or copied during the mod development, but a change to an affected base game's object there results in an equal and opposite change in its linked object in the mod -- makes no sense since they're different world spaces, but troubleshooting hasn't revealed the root cause). Since I haven't located the reason for that issue, I unfortunately don't have a fix for it yet. I wish I had better news right now. :(

i had so much fun playing this quest! i literally stayed up all night. amazingly written, great new locations. true, the dialouge isn't that great, but i'll take it for what it is!

Still looking for the letters, but so far my only issue is how choppy their speech sounds... Is there any way to smooth it out so that it sounds more natural?

There is a giant hill in the rotunda. The store with the pawn shop icon is entirely buried in the hill as are several stalls. I have no mod that changes geography.

I'm having a problem with Pelin where he's constantly 'busy'. After I married him, I hung around the manor for a day or two then went to finish a couple quests. Three days later, I came back and he's in a, seemingly, permanent state of "this person is busy" and I can't talk to him. He hasn't spoken at all to any NPCs since I got back and just walks his rounds. I don't have any mods that touch relationships or the areas specified, so I'm not sure if it's a glitch or something in the actual script?
Another problem I'm having is that I can't set the manor as my home (I have Bless Home so any home I own can have children in it) but I just get the message "this home is not suitable for my family", which I've never gotten before.

I have been watching Pelin like a hawk for what seems like 2 ingame hours in the market section. Waiting for him to speak to Andriath so I can get to read the poems but he doesn't seem to stop to talk to him. He looks at the meat then leaves. Is there like a spesific timezone that the conversation happens in? Also absolutely love this mod !

Oh my god! I just love this mod! Pelin is a very well written character! The way Pelin and his arc goes around the Thalmor and how they deal with Talos worship makes the Thalmor much more life-like! I do have a question, are you going to bring this mod into Skyrim Special Edition? I do hope so!

@kijikun, I've never run the multiadoptions mod, and I'm not familiar with its scripts. You will need to run my Hearthfires version to use Varlais Hall for your family home, though. (Load order might take some trial-and-error.) Because of scripting for the Khajiit vendors/guest beds, I won't be able to swap them out.

You may have read it's tricky and generally not adviseable to unload a mod in midplay: it can cause instability and corruption in the savegames using the mod. If you want to swap mod versions now, here are some considerations. Since the two versions needed different file names for Steam Workshop, they aren't interchangable (your savegame will recognize it's a different mod and present a warning on load). The two versions cannot be run simultaneously. My beta testers didn't test switching between mod versions midstream, so I strongly suggest returning to a pre-"Altmer Intrigue" savegame for changing to the Hearthfires version.

Two questions: did you ever figure out if multiadoptions was working with this file or do I need to switch over to the hearthfires verison; and would be it be possible for a verison with the two beds in the guest rooms being kids rooms as well? I'd hate to have to leave a kid behind.

Hi, everybody! I'm so sorry for my absence on this mod: just after its post to the Workshop, I had an incredible real-world work opportunity with a new company arise that took me away from modding (and gaming... and ever other hobby I had). Thank you very much for all of your kind words, and for those with issues, I've freed up a bit of time and will do my best to catch up with the posts and help with troubleshooting.

I've noted the issue with Bleakwind Basin. It's a problem where its wilderness landscape tiles are associated with the landscape tiles at the back of the Varlais Mountain Glen, which are two separate world spaces. So far, I've verified that correcting the Bleakwind Basin landscape alters the Glen landscape (and vice versa). I've worked with a few gamers and have not seen any ctds with the Bleakwind Basin landscape -- while it's an issue, it appears to be stable. Hope to have a further update soon.

I adore all the detail you put into the Hall...so amazing.
Buut I cant seem to find the 12th letter. Actually I have them, but its still saying I need to find one more and it wont complete the objective.

This mod has been amazing and I've enjoyed the play through so much! However, I've had an issue with the mannequins...they never stay on their place and their armor is gone. I mean the ones that are already set, not the ones I can use in the armory. I would like to use the creation kit to fix this problem. I would really appreciate it if you could tell me how to open this mod because it won't let me. Thank you c:

So I've never bothered to comment on a mod before, but in this case I just have to: this mod is AWESOME. Perlin is such a lovable character, the entire thing is so well written and organized, there are no bugs, Varlais hall is stunning...I could go on and on. WELL DONE!

So, I've gotten to the part where Pelin is standing at his wardrobe. He stands there and eats bread, whenever I try to talk to him, he does the normal dialogue. Nothing has happened yet.

This is a wonderful mod! Perlin is adorable!

But I have one question. After you marry him are the boxes in the house ever safe to use? I've noticed that if I put something valuble in them I can't take my stuff BACK without it being labeled as stealing. I presume it's because the item is about the threshold of what he's willing to share with me (his wife!) Is there a way to fix this? Or should I just use boxes elsewhere in skyrim?

Regardless, I LOVE the quests, the house, and Perlin the character. It's wonderful. Good work!

ewelsmore: Try to open a file in which you have not defeated him yet. Open the console, click on him and write "disable". Then enable him again.
(I had to this with the vampire Harkon. I hope that this will prove useful).

I've just finished An Altmer Intrigue and I absolutely loved it! Brilliant! Thumbs up and favorited! Everything quest related worked just fine. The only problem I am having is the manneqins keep moving out of place and the armors are invisible!? Just a minor thing though. Great work. Please say you will add more?

I was able to un-essential ' Kilarin' but the quest won't finish and won't acknowledge that he is dead so I am stuck again. PLEASE, help!! I love this mod or I would give up. I have tried tthe console command 'setobjectivecompleted' but the computer just laughs at me. Iif there is a command to finish the quest Please, tell me soon before the holidays start or I might go crazy!! LOL Seriously, I really do need help. TY

I tried removimg conflicting mods and I even used the console command "KILL" which will kill any NPC that is not essential and he just got up and faught some more!! He seems to be set as an essential so would you please see if he is and reset him so "KILARLIMN" of Falkreath will DIE !!! or tell me the exact console command that will kill him and open this quest line up again Please?

Kilarlin, the Thalmor in falkreath acts like he is essential and will not die!
I have looked through many of the posts and I have not found any references to not being able to kill Kilarlin the Thalmor in Falkreath. I have tried at least 3 times to kill him in the Falkreath battle and he acts like he is essential and will go down with no health at all and a few moments later he will get up and continue to attack us. I have done battlle with him for a couple hours each and he just won't die .

Hi, I subscribed to the mod and all seemed well until I tried to pass through Varlais Mountain Glen. As soon as I walk through, the whole screen goes black and I can't see my way, and if I do manage to leave the cave, Skyrim as a whole becomes black. Think of the black loading screen at the beginning of launching the game. Any idea ad to what may be causing this? This is the third time I've enabled the mod only to have it happen again. Thank you.
