This is easily the best prison-themed map on the whole Steam Workshop, but I do have a question.

When you enter one of the prison cells, there's a cell with a shining "X" at the base of the toilet. Is there something you're supposed to do in there?

Not sure, though that also sounds a bit sketchy though, you can try? point is that i am not endorsing people gaining illegal access to game content or assets through re-uploads and whatnot. What you do on your computer is none of my business, but for the sake of the work i have done here, i am not risking it being taken down. Besides, it would make the map file enormous due to the many different CSS assets i used.

Illegal? What are you talking about? Can't I just try to subscribe to the CSS textures on the workshop, like you do with other mods and Portal 2 Test Chambers?

Consider that what you are asking about is illegal... the same reason as to why the textures are not in the map file itself.

Is there a way to just get the textures required? I have no interest in purchasing CSS.

Hey, quick question. Everything was filled with error signs. The ground was completely gone and replaced with white, and everything else was replaced with the missing texture texture. How do I fix this issue?

How Do You let The Helicopter Go?

Ahh, good question. They open/unlocks and close/locks the different rooms of the buttom floor that are inteded for the inmates.

It is possible to open the doors from the inside though via a red emergency button.

This is a very complicated map... What do the locks do on the front gate area to open the cells?

Hey Mr. JiglesWorth, i kinda already started on such a project last year, but had to take a break from it because of University.

Some years back i also made a huge map using some of the original citadel locations from HL2, remade into a trustfull prison. The only problem is that the citadel is very open/huge and the game engine is not capable of rendering them. Which is why i started the other project as a second attempt.

The new map i have been working on has all the basic layout/exterior design done, so all that is really missing is the interior spaces such as rooms (which are already planned) as well as air ducts around the complex.

Finally i am also planning on making a teleport system for it since it is pretty big for a jailbreak map, though with security in mind so that there is an external activation that the guards have to use for it to work etc.

The setting is an rock/island extension to some mainland with only connection being a razor train and a closed of entrance/gate to a bridge.

The current name of the project is "ba_jail_combine_holiday" since it is going to be a tropic setting, thus combining the cold reality of the combine with the relaxing athmosphere of the carribean.

ATM though i am turning my CSS map de_dat_school into an HL2 DM map. And i also have a project of re-creating my university building in source. So i got enough on my hands already and prefer working alone, but thanks for the offer :)

Hey man, look's like I am not the only person with this idea, you look to have alot more experience making maps then me (which isn't saying much), but what ever. I have been wanting to start a map project based on Nova Prospekt, but I want to go all out. Like keep the coastal overlook and the tall skinny corridors, basically I would just like to copy and paste parts of the original to make a sorta trimmed version. Anywho, if you think or would like to help HMU.

its a game that involves guns. you need to install and mount it garry's mod to get the textures, or else the map will be all pink and black checkered. o.0
