As I said below and before, this was not my first mission. But it was my first sniper mission so I was just trying it. If you want a better sniping mission you should check out my other sniper mission that is better called objective killshot.

as everyone else said: too easy.......
was that your first mission?

Too easy!

Very Easy

Nice Mission, but very easy. Target was only 300 Meters away. But everything worked fine, so well done!

Great mission concept, but really simple. There's a few things you could do to improve it.

1a. No briefing at all. That's not really a problem but you should either set briefing = 0 so you load straight into the mission and get briefed there, or put something in the briefing to get a quick overview. It'd be nice to know what the target looks like for example. This saves people from being confused (that's what a briefing is for after all).

1b. No map markers at all. You already mention the approximate location of the target and task a good overwatch position. Mark those for the briefing and diary.

2. Command refers to you as "Sniper Team". But I'm by myself? Add a spotter!

3. The extract chopper showed up right at the beginning and just kinda hung there.

4. I was a bit disappointed at the range to the target. It was less than 200 meters. What was the point of using a sniper rifle that can make killshots of 1000m+? Almost felt like I poked the guy with a stick. You should think about greatly increasing the distance to target and shot difficulty.

5. The overwatch position was pretty crappy. No hard cover, no keyhole, just a bare hill that skylines you and was really close to the enemy.

6a. Like 1shot1kill_PL, the extract chopper flew off with me and just hung around at its final waypoint, never ending the mission. I had manually to end it.

6b. It's really not necessary to make the player do a helicopter ride if all you're gonna do at the end is, well, end it. Might as well run a script and call the mission end right after the chopper flies off with you.

Here's my entire playthrough.

Mission didn't end properly, the chopper was flying, and than it stopped and was hanging over something rhat looked like a small military base. There was no ending.

For me extraction worked good too.

Edit: 1shotonekill_pl, I just checked and played the mission and it looks like the helicopter did come and picked me up and the mission ended how it was supposed to. Did you happen to comment on the wrong mission, since the helicopter was never supposed to land at base. It would just fly a ways then the mission will end.
Panicsferd  [author] Feb 2, 2014 @ 11:11am
I will take a look into it. I may have forgot to add the type of the tirgger to end1. Kenji89_PL, I could look into that to change the overwatch position. I mainly had it on that hill so that you were on a hill looking down at the target
Perzan Feb 2, 2014 @ 7:23am
Extraction chopper didn't land after flying to base, script ending the mission doesn't work...

Fun, short, sniper mission. If i can suggest something: overwatch is too close, to shoot target 200-300m ahead theres no need for sniper. Try to move overwatch somewhere further, like agia stemma for example :NATO:
Panicsferd  [author] Feb 1, 2014 @ 9:35pm
I know it was short, but I was just sort of testing out how to make a sniping missiong. Where you snipe a CSAT commander then run for extraction.

I kinda hoped it was a bit more than just running, killing one person and running back. It wasn't the best mission i've played, but also not the worst, keep it up and get better! :) :chains:

A simple but good mission! Thank's!
