wait, I just ran across this base in the tutorial, but I'm not subscribed to this
razor754569 Oct 30, 2022 @ 12:07am
creative and pleasant to look at beautiful work thank you
DarthGnome Oct 9, 2021 @ 10:53am
Anyone know if this is viable for 1.5?
jrandall  [author] May 18, 2021 @ 11:07am
Thank you Ranubis and AzaraiahZee :)
AzaraiahZee May 17, 2021 @ 2:01pm
You do the Martian Navy proud, Sir! :D
Ranubis Jan 19, 2021 @ 4:40pm
I absolutely love ALL your stuff! Do you have a Discord channel? I have noticed that I am having trouble charging the Solar capacitors beyond 5% on the base, and 12% on the Point Defense...any thoughts?
jrandall  [author] Sep 6, 2020 @ 4:46pm
Thnak you DaelaamCrafter, ShellGhost101, and Sabarath! @ShellGhost101 and Sabarath, I never did design this one for furnaces which take a lot of space. The closest I have to this in function is the Skaar-Crawler which is set up for furnaces, but it also more expensive and has built in defense and tougher hull materials but room for 3 constructors, 2 furnaces, and 2 de-constructors. And another alt option would be the Waypoint Compound which also has room for Furnaces however I haven't looked at the BP recently to see how it handled the game patch changes. @DealaamCrafter, Maybe I should have labeled a spot for the console. I think I just slapped it down somewhere in the hangar side when I was trying it out. And also sorry about the slow response. Thanks again all!
Sabarath Sep 6, 2020 @ 1:24pm
I love this base (and all of the Blue Prints) but I cant seem to find anywhere to put a Furnce?
ShellGhost101 Sep 5, 2020 @ 4:07pm
The U, by the way, is way up near the ceiling above where the Pentaxid tank spot is. No clue what it could be for. Space for furnace(s) would have been welcome, but overall it's a nice design. I really wish the game had more passive power gen, such as wind, water or geothermal... but that's nothing to do with this. Nice work.
DaelaamCrafter Aug 22, 2020 @ 3:40pm
Also the wifi is on the other side
DaelaamCrafter Aug 22, 2020 @ 3:40pm
Oh, that makes sense. Also no spot for repair console I can see.
jrandall  [author] Aug 22, 2020 @ 8:20am
Thanks Filokwarq, Crysenex, and DaelaamCrafter! @Crysenex, I need to look. I do remember putting a couple letters in places to indicate a part was there but I have seemed to have forgotten what the U stood for at the moment. I thought it had a W which mean the WIFI was there. I will check it out. Thanks again all!
DaelaamCrafter Aug 21, 2020 @ 7:41pm
@Crysenex what U?
Crysenex Aug 15, 2020 @ 7:09pm
Hey, what does the U stand for?
Filokwarq Jul 29, 2020 @ 12:45pm
Thx, in the Meantime, I know a few tricks more. One is to flaten the ground below before placing by the BP-Options. Will give it wnother Try. If that does not work, I will replace the Blocks with Steel. Thx for checking back in here. However, it was was on the ground and it was red, that wasnt the point. But Discord is a big helper here ;)
jrandall  [author] Jul 29, 2020 @ 8:54am
@filokwarq and Baron von Helldrop. I added a screen shot to the end of the post to show what the structual integrity looks like if placed properly. When this was built it was made with made support beams that MUST touch the ground or you will have the problems you are having. I just placed it 10 times and got the results seen in the the last screen shot. Thanks.
Nelseru Jul 28, 2020 @ 7:03pm
Plz update structural integrity is ♥♥♥♥
Filokwarq Jul 16, 2020 @ 8:04pm
Well, I was building up the ground below, happened anyway. I now simply made a private BP with a Base below the Base :D It still shows red in some areas, but at least it should now hold together. The Base I placed a few days ago, which lead to the posting below, crashed shortly after the post completely.
jrandall  [author] Jul 16, 2020 @ 10:09am
Thank you Adamus, Atlana, and Filokwarq! @Atlana and Adamus, sorry about my slow response. I missed your comments. @Filokwarq This one really needs to make sure all the supports are firmly touching the ground or the ground built up under it. If everything is connecting, it should not collapse, but it can be hard to see. I would normally recommend spawning it and using the page down key to set it into the ground more which does help normally. Thanks again all!
Filokwarq Jul 14, 2020 @ 7:41pm
Ok, found it, but it instantly breaks. Might be a goot idea to Build a Basement for the Base :(
Filokwarq Jul 14, 2020 @ 7:21pm
One of my favourites for Bases to spread all over the universe. Still searching for good spots to build additional generators....
Atlana Jun 14, 2020 @ 1:41am
@Adamus
load it into creative SP, and activate "godmode", that way you can clip ('ghost') into structures and see from the inside :winter2019cooldog:
Adamus Jun 13, 2020 @ 3:55pm
Absolute work of art, I slipped a furnace in myself without having to change anything. I put it in the square area closed off with railings opposite the med-bay. Beautiful colour scheme, love the support design. I still haven;t figured out what the tiny out building is for, didn't want to tear into it to find out what is in there lol. Great work :KneelingBow:
jrandall  [author] Apr 8, 2020 @ 8:05am
Thank you stormzel and Atlana! @stormzel, I agree, it is something I didn't make room for in this base being the furnaces. The next base I make will keep that in mind. @Atlana, Not a bad idea. I will think about that on future posts. Thanks again all!
Atlana Apr 5, 2020 @ 5:54am
@jrandall
I've a suggestion - since most BPs take a long time to manufacture out of raw materials/ore bars, is it possible (if you still know the Bill Of Materials) to list the blocks/components/devices? that way one can prefabricate them, and when i.e. MCRN NEST is needed, they're thrown into the factory to be built in near real-time (did so with one of your tanks, took 2 seconds to build in factory =^.^=)
stormzel Apr 1, 2020 @ 1:16am
Nice!!! Work!!!
Where build furnances ? ))
Why not slot for them... ))
And meaby build armor version with 10 solar panels (Apgrade and mod.)
jrandall  [author] Mar 25, 2020 @ 12:05pm
Thank you builder680, Black Diamond King, and -=PB=-PhelixPhoenix! @builder680, Thanks! I missed it looking thru the base. I believe I meant to mean WiFi and I think it is placed near the W. I am not sure what I was thinking on that one and then forgot about it. lol Whoops. @Black Diamond King, if you install a shield it need the pentaxid tank to fuel the shield. Thanks again all!
Ember Sol Mar 23, 2020 @ 4:35pm
Really been enjoying this as my starter base! I added my own repair block and console. Really, really have to make sure this thing has solid terrain under it or it falls apart when you try to build on it.
BLACKDIAMONDGTV Mar 19, 2020 @ 11:38pm
im sorry, but why a base needs a pentaxid deposit?
jrandall  [author] Mar 13, 2020 @ 5:26am
Thank you builder680!
builder680 Mar 12, 2020 @ 8:20pm
Been using your mrcn set for my recent mp play and they look awesome. In PvP I might have to make some armored blocks with guns but in pve these are beautiful.
builder680 Mar 12, 2020 @ 8:18pm
I may or may not have been really tired when I asked that question and may or may not have seen it in a different ship. I'll check if I can find it again later tonight. Love the base though :)
jrandall  [author] Mar 12, 2020 @ 3:49pm
Thank you Inquisitor Firebrand and builder680. @builder680, I just spawned it and went around in the base. I can't find a W anywhere. lol. Normally I would use W for warp core, but this being a base doesn't have that. Where did you see it the base? Thanks again all!
builder680 Mar 11, 2020 @ 11:11pm
Wwhat is the W placeholder for in this base?
Inquisitor Firebrand Mar 3, 2020 @ 11:49pm
@ChaosBeing sometimes steam is a butt and won't download new creations unless you restart steam completely
jrandall  [author] Mar 3, 2020 @ 10:22am
Thank you BURG and ChaosBeing! @ChaosBeing, the next time you run the game, it should be in the list of workshop creations you can spawn. Onced subscribed, steam automatically downloads it and places it in the game can see it on your hard drive. Thanks again!
ChaosBeing Mar 1, 2020 @ 4:30pm
How do i Download this? I subscribed and everything.
BURG Feb 20, 2020 @ 8:54am
Godd job Jeff👍
jrandall  [author] Feb 11, 2020 @ 7:01am
Thank you very much Farseer, Balcoran, and Zeal. @Zeal, going for a tier 2 CPU stock at least, I couldn't add much more at all to the base. I was fearing I made it too big for being a tier 2. It also was my first CPU tiered base so I really didn't know what I could make or how big. I also like the idea of players doing custom mods to creations for things they want in them. It is how I started building myself, modding prefabs or workshop creations until I decided to make new stuff from ground up later on. Well, anyway, thanks again all!
Zeal Feb 11, 2020 @ 4:52am
I'm working on a landing pad for the Pioneer CV in this style but i'm really new to the game. The deployable Prefab aesthetic looks amazing! The base itself functions well and can even manage on a MP server with a few more fuel tanks added and another solar capacitor. Thankfully there's spots for them. And Farseer I don't think those mechanics are in the game yet even though it does sound really cool!
Balcora Feb 9, 2020 @ 5:20pm
Meh
Farseer Feb 6, 2020 @ 2:29am
Not the best English but I think the meaning is clear :D
Farseer Feb 6, 2020 @ 2:25am
The prism itself inside has living rooms (or storage, whatever). An approximate implementation can be seen in the Space Marine buildings in Warhammer (Darck crused or Soulstorm). The coolest thing is that you can then take the building with you, it will dig and fly back into orbit to CV
Farseer Feb 6, 2020 @ 2:25am
Hey. This is what I suggest. The idea is great, but I think I can’t realize it (I lack patience and skills). Therefore, I give it to you. Maybe then, it turns out, maybe now. The meaning is the BASIS THAT DROPS FROM ORBIT AND DEPOSITS MYSELF AND TURNS INTO A BUNKER !! ... The implementation is simple. A hexagonal prism is built
at the bottom there are mounted drills on the sides of the engines (for lower thrust and steering), further options 1) the prism itself is simply divided into sections and the drill digs it up to the section that remains on the surface (loopholes, guns, etc., and the base is below the ground) 2 ) A superstructure in the form of a bunker (of any shape) is built above the prism, and the prism itself is completely buried in the ground.

Thanks bugeyes and Kula808! @bugeyes, I am pretty sure one or more of the supporting feet is not touching the ground. I would recommend spawning this and using the Pagedown key to put in down in the ground more but not so much as to the hangar floor gets covered. The base needs all the main feet touching the ground or it will have structural integrity issues like you are saying. I hope the helps. @Kula808, I so wish the game could do things like that for real. I just fake it on some builds with landing type feet as I think it looks cool. Who knows, maybe someday the game could do things like this. Thanks again all!
Kula808 Feb 4, 2020 @ 7:02pm
Wow great use of blocks! I can hear the Hydraulic pistons lowering the landing legs into place. :)
Secret Squirrel Jan 20, 2020 @ 12:24pm
for some reason when I spawned in this base, parts of it would break off. Placed a turret and part of the roof fell off. Retrieved a plant from the farm and the roof caved in on me.
jrandall  [author] Jan 4, 2020 @ 8:23am
Thank you Draukadin! Sounds like a nice secure base set up. Thanks again!
