Like I use this mod daily.
No. It doesn't.
It only includes:
- the decision for Spain to remove anarchy,
- decisions for everyone to boost/switch to certain ideology (communist, fascist, non-aligned, democratic)
- decisions to use surplus political points to restore independence quicker
with bba active at least 6 of start of the game Ethiopia has there national spirit icons have question mark on them 4 for italy 1 for the swiss
I wasn't able to fix it yet and the only way to deal with this is workaround solution from the description..
No. Anarchism is not really a separate ideology in the game. I have no idea how would I be able to implement it wihout causing any bugs.
Investing a maximum possible ammount of 750 pp in the ideology gives you a constant 0.5 daily support for that ideology. This is such a strong influence that it will allow the player to switch ideology despite all of the other external ideas/spirits/advisors/focus tree bounses and so on, but it won't feel like cheating (750 pp is equivalent to hiring 5 advisors, so a lot of pp and the process of switching is going to be slow and won't be instant).
Yeah - it's the same with communist Czechoslovakian idea/spirit that never goes away. There are a plenty of these in the game and probably Paradox will add even more over time with more DLCs, so I don't have a full list of these spirits even if I wanted to remove them. The vanilla game is designed in a way to block countries from switching ideologies outside of the focus tree. Since La Resistance you can't even influence other countries to switch to the ideology of your country anymore. I highly disagree with this game design and how the ideology switch option is locked behind the focus tree after you pay for DLC. In 1.0 version of HoI4 things were different and you could always switch ideology - even mid- to late- game.
That's why this mod exists. To bring back this lost mechanic of early Hearts of Iron IV from 2016.
Right now old ideological national spirits counters switching ideologies.
For example it is possible to change away from fascism as Italy with you mod but as the fascist national spirit Vittoria Mutilata is not possible to delete it keeps on generating fascism.
Could you please make a mod enabeling any national spirit?
You should treat this mod as a new game mechanic that allows the player to switch ideologies mid-game. It's designed to be useful after 1942-1943, when all of the advisors are already picked/locked and all of the focuses are selected.
- allow promoting ideologies for the anarchists too
- allow to turn into anarchists as any nation for 750pp
Now hopefully you'll no longer be stuck as someone's puppet anymore for more than just few years.
It's supposed to be mid- to lategame alternative to focus tree bonuses. It shouldn't be too cheap to not be overpowered.
I've added a decision for Anarchist Commune that allows you toget rid of anarchism for 750 pp, revert back to being Spain and switch ideology as normal.
After taking the decision you will get a generic focus tree and you'll be able to release puppets again.
Thank Paradox for fixing the game.
There is a bug for Al-Andalus and Catalonia (and maybe some other countries) that will produce an anarchist coup when you boost conservatism (both are considered to be non-aligned). So far the mod is working with 1.9, but I will proceed to remove this bug in later patch.
What do you mean? I updated it to 1.8
You could try playing it a bit, it's pretty good, in terms of ideologies it's like the base game as in only having 4 of them
I've never played Old World Blues

I can't speak in Spanish. You would have to help me by translating "uaimbonkers_l_english.yml" (located in mod files in localisation folder of the mod).
If you posted translation somewhere in here then I would be able to include Spanish translation in the next update.
yes
Probably not since USA civil war is scripted in vanilla files and I didn't add any new events for civil war.
I tested it on Japan - after the first civil war (ignited by the focus tree) you can only switch ideology via decision since even 100% support for non-ruling ideology won't fire a civil war.
- Make Russia democratic and lead Putin in 1936
Sincerly
-A British dude
AI won't use these new decisions, but the player can change ideology and it doesn't matter which part of the focus tree you've chosen in 1936.
