that trick is (without checking, just assuming) not actually having any reload anim.
The reload animation is solely responsible for the reload speed. Not having them at all allows the shells to be just refilled immediately.

But that would not work nicely online.
This mod here is dope, but I actually had an idea for trying to make a magazine reload.

This mod that ports the "Fournicator" From Postal has a clever trick where it has a reload animation that doesn't load in individual shells, and shortly after it plays, the shells get loaded in super quickly.

Maybe this technique could help with magazine fed semi-auto shotguns such as this one? Either way, I'm gonna use this mod and enjoy it. Thanks for creating it my friend.

Some people don't seem to understand that shotguns have three separate reload animations that work as one.
1. tilt shotgun
2. insert shell (looped as many times as needed)
3. insert one more shell and turn shotgun back over.

You can not make an animation that is "take mag out an put it back in" without making it look weird, because you do need to wait the entire duration of however long it takes to fully refill the magtube of the shotgun. And there is a one second animation being looped.
What'cha gonna do, take the mag out and back in 9 times? Naw.
The only sensible idea i had is reloading the magazine itself so that the thing actually works with the animation setup it has.

You could do an "take mag out and back in" anim, but it breaks in online play, in the way that the mag comes out, you sit there like a fool for ten seconds and then have the mag be inserted again.

This particular shotgun reminds me of Parasite Eve 2: the magazine change is not reproduced, and the reloading is done by loading 12 gauges into the magazine, one at a time.

Some users seem to complain about this, but it seems strange that we, the users, should complain about this, since the author has his own ideas and preferences.

It goes without saying that the author must have worked hard to create this ADDON, but it should be noted that the author paid $60 to make this happen.

There is a strange fascination with removing the magazine and loading each 12-gauge round into the magazine that is almost addictive.

would be possible. i only used it for the hud icon, which technically doesn't need a script anymore.

Would it be possible to upload without any scripts at all? I don't know how much it really effects, but I try and keep my game without conflicts, but I also use scritps on my weapons and really enjoy using one to beef up the mag size for the SPAS with this mod.

This addon does not contain soundfiles.
It uses whatever events the spas had pre tls, which is what the autoshotgun uses now.

That reload animation is a great solution for magazine fed shotgun models for autoshotguns, would love to see it used for other models as well

Autoshotguns just have 10 shots in the magazine.
I gave it 20 via scripts, but thatmessed up the gun by not reloading at all ir when it does reload it breaks and stops the animation halfway through when you go past 10

I haven't played the game for a long time now and I wanted to give another shot. As far i remember shotgun mods with drums had working 20 round scripts. USAS in real has drum with 20 rounds I got standard 10 in game. Is this a glitch or it is intended by author of this mod?

Concerning the conflicted "Weapons Performance Overhaul", why not just make one of this without the script? Considering I really like the satisfying reload sound/animation and the updated version of this in comparison to that of Rocky's (I still use it because I can't run these two conflicted mods together, and if you can't use them together, why bother when I have the other one?), besides, conflicted mods doesn't mean you can't play with conflicted maps of themselves either (coughcoughJourneytoSplashMountainmyfavoritecoughcough), so why not make your mod compatible with a weapon stats script? It's still satisfying to use yours instead of Rocky's.

My kriss vector doesn't have that issue. But i suppose i could just delete the other firing animations as they look pretty simmilar and are quick anyways.

It's because you have more than one fire animation. Server-side only enforces a single fire animation for each gun, having two or more will cause the server to revert the animation back to the first one when the client attempts to play one of the additional sequences mid-animation, resulting in what looks like the gun is firing twice.

It's a noble endeavor but typically having more than one fire animation doesn't work out well.

teh magazines are on the same texture as the rest of teh usas-12. i suppose something in the envmapmask is a bit iffy so it allows too much shine. not sure.

I mostly play single player so I end up modifying weapon scripts myself. It's just there is only a single drum magazine AA-12 mod up that is for the G3SG/1 and it is of low quality and the animations are a complete mismatch.
