@Swindle I'm also experiencing this. Problem went away when I disabled this mod, so... It seems to be. :/
Azzkal Jul 2 @ 11:52am
Wow, now textures look like cartoon, great!!!
Swindle Jun 19 @ 1:44am
Is this the mod that's making some Garru, certain Trader mercenaries, and even some buildings blue and if so, why?
TheKerevas Apr 3 @ 5:59pm
When I load a save, the game crashes. By deactivating this mod I no longer have these problems :/
WaKKO151 Mar 10 @ 7:47am
@Jaffa There is a mod that reduces textures. Its called Compressed Textures and one that makes the game look cartoony is Native Stylized.
Soft Goth Paranoiac Jan 2 @ 7:32pm
Alright! I found the issue for splotchy textures on rag shirts.

The file in particular is "colormap_all.dds"

I pulled that file from the mod and everything is peachy with black rag shirts, and consequentially the pants added by Vanilla Aesthetic Content - Ronin Clothpants

colormap_all.dds is located in

ILUVGAMES28 Sep 20, 2023 @ 5:12am
does it effect any mods like Radiant Better Faces & Eyes
Xiao Mar 26, 2023 @ 8:15am
Any way to fix the cloth shirt textures looking all blotchy and messed up?
Jaffa Jan 28, 2023 @ 9:00pm
Id really like there to be the opposite of this mod. Like a mod for reducing textures to make them look almost like a low poly/ low resolution game. i think that vibe could be cool
Redarmy Jan 4, 2023 @ 6:11am
I appreciate the work gone into making this, but i cannot recommend. The visual difference is only subjectively better, the textures arent new just alot of contrast etc and it gives off a visually bad look on many items.

Its also heavy VRAM(iv 6GB VRAM) wise and causes long load times near towns etc. on top of that its 8GB on the disk, not 3.4GB as the description states.

i have used this mod for past 6 months so i speak honestly, would not recommend and instead id say use Reshade and use filters from that for various similar affects with no performance drop
Redarmy Jan 4, 2023 @ 5:51am
it says the mod is 3 ish GB its actually taking up 7.4 GB for me. why?

nIKNAKNUIE Dec 13, 2022 @ 11:24pm
Hi, I am curious to know if you are looking to improve the textures for the landscapes across Kenshi? The game could use an update.
Valkerion™ Dec 13, 2022 @ 4:06am
Man I used this mod for a really long time and finally realized this is the cause of the cloth texture being spotted and crappy looking.
Commissar Kenji Oct 12, 2022 @ 12:06am
Yeah things are a pit particley like and very labor intensive but that might be on my end. Confused though because i have a 2070 Super and frames are chucking hard when i fight. Going near towns is turns the game into a scrapbook movie. Idk ima see whats up if its my RAM or idk
I'm him Sep 10, 2022 @ 12:06am
everything just looks deep fried now
PALPUS  [author] Aug 13, 2022 @ 4:36am
Try using anisotropic filtering in the nvidia control panel. cheers :cryptocool:
I can't stop drinkin oil Aug 12, 2022 @ 10:54pm
Looks good. Maybe too good? Like, when I move the camera the crops have this weird noisy effect. Just an observation, not criticism.
If I ever get a god pc I'll probably use this.
Peasant_Heist Jul 4, 2022 @ 12:02am
This mod makes the game so much more beautiful. Instantly looks more modern
Sebastian003 Jun 17, 2022 @ 1:21pm
no afecta en partida avanzada pero si me laguea el juego, se ve bien eso si
Vojnuk Feb 20, 2022 @ 6:07am
Quite heavy on VRAM, around 3Gb, probably not for use if you have low graphic memory. Kenshi + other mod are 3.5 Gb + 3 Gb from this mod, my VRAM(6 Gb) was 100% all the time.
Cugitay Dec 14, 2021 @ 4:30am
Is it compatible with Compressed Texture Project mod?
Novato_Eber Sep 17, 2021 @ 11:48pm
me da tentacion usarlo, pero que me dicen, como les afecta, digo todo bien?, sin problemas en partidas avanzadas?
JayRebirth Aug 12, 2021 @ 8:55pm
Messes up clothing shirt textures
MausBastion Jun 1, 2021 @ 12:08am
How does this work with Compressed Textures Mod? Should I load this before or after it?
城北徐公 Feb 25, 2021 @ 7:38am
Does it have any additional requirements for computer performance?
Unemployed Rat Feb 8, 2021 @ 1:29am
Nvm, I can confirm that this mod only works on vanilla armors, not modded ones. Doesn't matter if they used vanilla assets or not.
Unemployed Rat Feb 5, 2021 @ 5:00pm
Does this mod work on other mods that use vanilla assets to make new armor? Things like patchwork armor and stuff.
TH3TA Jan 4, 2021 @ 10:57am
This mod is awesome everything looks like 4k ^^
Mazz Dec 9, 2020 @ 4:19am
This mod improved my performance by at least 25%
TheyCallMeVincenzo Jul 30, 2020 @ 5:14am
What kind of performance hit can I expect with this mod?
Kaivian Jul 12, 2020 @ 4:35pm
I love this, especially for buildings.

It has a weird effect on textures like cloth and canvas. At certain zoon levels, it looks like gaussian noise, and when you move the screen the pixels "dance." Very noticeable on the Garru backpacks. Just an FYI, even though I dont think this is being updated anymore.
ShekelsBot Jun 17, 2020 @ 3:06pm
Does this work with the compressed textures project?
LetsGetCynical May 3, 2020 @ 6:48am
Unsure why this is, but with this mod enabled the base of my Greenlander/Scorchlander's skull and the back of their necks are incredibly blurry. The rest of their face/head/body looks fine, but the base of the skull to the neck is a smear.

I've tried with and without AA enabled in the Nvidia control panel. I've tried with/without compressed textures loaded.

The only mods I'm using that affect faces and hair at all are the two "mediocre" mods, and I've got both of them lower in the load order so they should be overwriting this mod.

No dice at getting rid of the blurry part so I've got to turn this mod off for now. It looked good from what little I saw of it.
FurfishXneko Apr 26, 2020 @ 11:45pm
thank you author~love it
Hazuki-chan Apr 15, 2020 @ 11:57am
Very nice! Good to see this game getting some love from talented art modders. :)
Honeytime Mar 6, 2020 @ 8:17pm
where should you put this on the mod list? also compatible with compressed texture?
William Mar 1, 2020 @ 12:26am
modifica a textura dessa arma tambem, deixa mais nitido.

leather and cloth armor looks all fuck3d up with this mod
ManOfFortune Feb 4, 2020 @ 9:21am
Tried it out, amazing work. Only get frame drops in towns, downloading compressed texture mod helps a lot with performance too.
Animecore Jan 24, 2020 @ 6:55pm
I put this mod all the way at the top of my load order and seems to be working fine. I have the 18+ body mod and another mode that changes the look of meitou weapons.
Animecore Jan 19, 2020 @ 7:49pm
@Wornwood What happens if you load the 18+ body mod after this mod?
aLi112 Dec 8, 2019 @ 6:07am
what reshade are you using ?
Darkphaze Nov 4, 2019 @ 3:13am
I can't be sure if its a conflict causing this or not but when ever i load this mod it makes all leather and cloth armor go all spotted.
DayChap Nov 1, 2019 @ 2:29am
Amazing mod. Doesn't appear compatible with some mods that edit/ add clothing but this mod is worth it.
Wormwood, Duke of Burgundy Sep 18, 2019 @ 8:48am
this mod is not compatible with 18+ body mod, SoSaD
noroi-chan Sep 16, 2019 @ 9:45pm
I set the anistropic filtering to 16x and it still flickers tons
Boris Хpeн Пoпaдeшь Aug 31, 2019 @ 11:33pm
Thank you for your work, this looks amazing!

With my potato-of-a-pc (overclocked intel 2 core e8400, gtx 970, 8GB RAM and an SSD) I have to choose between either pretty visuals and somewhat playable fps. Using 1024 downsized vanilla textures solved most of the performance issues for me.

Is there any chance that you make a downsized 1024 version of your texture pack? I'd certainly love to use that instead.
Sunbro Aug 15, 2019 @ 6:26am
Might sound stupit but does this effect performance?
